My favorite is a photo my boyfriend and I took when we quit out jobs, got rid of everything except one car load of stuff, and ran away together on our 6 month anniversary to move to Arizona. My favorite picture of myself is a shot taken by my best friend when we were riding a ferry from southern Spain to Morocco. It was a windy day in December, and the tail of rainbow scarf I was wearing was trailing in the wind. I’m laughing and one of my eyes is half closed, but I remember how happy and carefree I felt in that moment.
