Fab Freebie: Line Drawings

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries –  see who won below!***

Thanks to random.org’s, our three winners are Jane (who considers herself an accomplished doodler – especially during a meeting), Molly T (who dubbed herself the least crafty person ever) and Lizz (who’s no artist, but is killer at Pictionary). Congrats ladies!

You guys probably know Freshline Illustration from our monthly sponsor shout outs, but soon three of you will know them as the ones who hooked you up with some sweet art / pillows / stationery for your own home. And many of Freshline’s colorful and playful illustrations can be personalized with monograms, anniversary dates, or even your full family tree.

Freshline Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A $50 gift card towards any purchase from Freshline Illustration
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “DRAW ME!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us about your drawing skills. Are you a trained artist or the last one picked during a game of Pictionary? Either way, what’s your favorite thing to sketch or draw? Maybe you’re especially skilled at human portraits – or you just like to doodle your name in the margins.
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, March 2nd at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: Three
  • PRIZE SHIPS: Anywhere in the world!
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winners will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday morning for the announcement of our winners. Good luck…

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just like rewarding our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from Freshline Illustration.

    DRAW ME!

I am horrible at drawing. My go-to move is a house, and I employ the exact same technique that I did at age six. But I am awesome at coloring.

Not only am I the last one picked for Pictionary (who likes that game anyway), my family laughs at even my attempts at stick figures. :(
I am envious of those people who can start with a blank canvas and make something beautiful out of it!

I’m a graphic/web designer so while I’m pretty artistic, I’ve always loved drawing pumpkins and Fall still-life pictures. I also enjoy drawing an occasion stick figure cartoon or inside joke for friends, when I send them cards and things. ;)

DRAW ME! When I was young I used to love to draw cartoon characters. I would put a Disney movie in the VCR, pause it on an image that I liked, and then I’d draw the character free-hand onto sketch paper. Some of them were actually decent! :)

I am fairly decent at anything art related, but the thing is, I’m not original at all. I can look at someone else’s work, and copy it to a tee. But to come up with my own design…I never can do it, I don’t seem to have any ideas. Weird, I know.

DRAW ME! I’ve never been able to draw more than a stick figure until recently when I decided on a complete career switch and started taking some classes in interior design. Now I am learning to draft floorplans and draw elevations complete with furniture. Furniture!! Never dreamed I would be able to draw that!

    DRAW ME!

I have been drawing my whole life, but I’ve never wanted to make it a career. While I was in AP Art in high school, and was a finalist in the Savannah College of Art and Design Georgia High School Drawing Contest in 2007, I now choose to draw mainly for family and friends (it makes for a cheap Christmas or birthday gift!)
