Fab Freebie: Love Is Blinds

*** This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – scroll down to see who won!***

Sure, we’d all love to gaze out of our home’s windows at some breathtakingly beautiful vista. But in reality, some windows are portals to the back of the neighbor’s fence, an unwelcome glare, or even the view of a man walking around in his tighty-whities all night because he doesn’t realize his curtains are sheer (true story from my New York City days – yup, just like the naked guy from Friends). All the more reason to appreciate window coverings, like these beauties from Next Day Blinds:

NextDayBlinds Image 1

This week Next Day Blinds is shucking out $200 to one lucky lad or lady to spend towards any custom-made, premium-quality, ready-the-next-day blinds, shades, sheers, rollers, romans or even shutters. And they’ve got enough styles to make your head spin (which you can browse right here).

NextDayBlinds Image 2

Here are the giveaway deets:

  • PRIZE: $200 towards any Next Day Blinds order
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “BLIND ME!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …tell us about a view you wish you could cover (or are glad that you’ve already covered). Maybe the neighbors can look right into your bathroom (or vice versa)? Or you once stayed in a hotel room with a not so nice view?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, November 10th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The 50 United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

******************************

And our one lucky winner (as selected by random.org) is… Hien (who’s looking to cover up some sun-drenched kitchen windows). Congrats!

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just take them on to reward our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from Next Day Blinds.

Blind Me! We are building a new house and in need of blinds and window treatments in every room!! With a window in my closet and another in my son’s bathroom, blinds are most definitely needed to keep my new neighbors from getting to know us way too personally! LOL

Our neighbors, bless their hearts, have a collection of patio tables with umbrellas. Not one, not two, but a collection. So yes, I close the blinds that lead to their house.

Blind Me! No exciting naked man story here. Just a big chicken who hates watching tv at night right in front of a glass sliding door when who knows who could be on the other side watching. As much as I’d like to leave it totally uncovered b/c of the view to my hilly yard, gotta keep out the boogy (sp?) man.

I too haven’t chosen any window coverings for over our kitchen sink because it seems like such an expensive decision. I’m sure my neighbors in our very busy neighborhood would love to not have to see me lip synching to the radio, giving our baby daughter a bath, etc. etc….and I would be fine if they didn’t see those things any more too!!

We just moved into our first home. We LOVE the neighborhood and our house. We, however, we’re not fond of the broken down trailer and barn that was outside our backyard (part of another lot since we are on an end). Blinds would be nice for this! :o)

We are moving into an old house within the next few weeks. We are so excited but it is taking a big hit on our budget. The windows are big and the are a few missing blinds hope right from the street! Not to mention the blinds that are there could use some updating, however, as my husband says- blinds don’t come before necessities like bills and food..for some reason :)

I wish I would have had blinds in my bedroom when I was first married. One night, when I was about 9 months pregnant with my first, I walked by a window covered in a towel. No lie, I dropped the towel, dropped to the floor in fright, and inched up to the window to see if anyone was outside. Yep, my next-door neighbor just happened to be out with his dog and just happened to be looking right up at the window.
Let’s just say it was a little awkward from then on…

We need some kind of window covering for our living room windows–they’re only 15 feet back from a sidewalk that gets a lot of pedestrian traffic, so we need to be able to see out without every dog-walker in the neighborhood being able to see in.
