Fab Freebie: Love Is Blinds

*** This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – scroll down to see who won!***

Sure, we’d all love to gaze out of our home’s windows at some breathtakingly beautiful vista. But in reality, some windows are portals to the back of the neighbor’s fence, an unwelcome glare, or even the view of a man walking around in his tighty-whities all night because he doesn’t realize his curtains are sheer (true story from my New York City days – yup, just like the naked guy from Friends). All the more reason to appreciate window coverings, like these beauties from Next Day Blinds:

NextDayBlinds Image 1

This week Next Day Blinds is shucking out $200 to one lucky lad or lady to spend towards any custom-made, premium-quality, ready-the-next-day blinds, shades, sheers, rollers, romans or even shutters. And they’ve got enough styles to make your head spin (which you can browse right here).

NextDayBlinds Image 2

Here are the giveaway deets:

  • PRIZE: $200 towards any Next Day Blinds order
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “BLIND ME!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …tell us about a view you wish you could cover (or are glad that you’ve already covered). Maybe the neighbors can look right into your bathroom (or vice versa)? Or you once stayed in a hotel room with a not so nice view?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, November 10th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The 50 United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

******************************

And our one lucky winner (as selected by random.org) is… Hien (who’s looking to cover up some sun-drenched kitchen windows). Congrats!

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just take them on to reward our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from Next Day Blinds.

We put roman Blinds in our bedroom, It has these huge beautiful windows, very close to the street on the first floor. We wanted to make sure WE weren’t the “naked people”

I am thankful for the blinds in my bedroom. Our bed is up against a wall of three windows that overlooks the parking lot of our apt. complex. Without those blinds (and curtains for added privacy)I would often be fully exposed on unsuspecting neighbors.

BLIND ME! Our first window covering priority was the window above our bathtub. It has frosted glass, but we discovered the neighbors could still clearly see whoever was showering! We cut an opaque shower curtain down to size and hung it in the opening. Now we don’t feel so exposed.

We desperately need a set of blinds in our master bedroom. Our 1989 ranch came with a whole slew of metal blinds that I absolutely hate, but holy cow blinds can be pricey! I’d love to be able to sleep in a little longer with the help of some new blinds… :) I’m begging you!

BLIND ME! I spent a lot of resources on my curb appeal this summer/fall. Unfortunately my neighbors don’t believe in raking and every time I clear my yard their leaves end up migrating to my side… perhaps some new blinds will help to keep my blood pressure down!

    BLIND ME!

I would love to get new blinds for our office that will become a nursery some time before June. The window in there faces the entry walkway of our house. I don’t want anyone who walks up to our door to be able to peer into the baby’s room.

We also have a beautiful, bright sliding glass door in our family room that faces our not so beautiful trash & recycling bins. Right now the window has horizontal faux wood blinds that were installed when we moved in. Even though I’ve given them a really thorough cleaning, they’re just nasty and really don’t match any of our stuff.
