Maxx and Marshalls, here to help us kick off the whole holiday shopping scene by handing over two $50 gift cards that can be spent on gifts, festive seasonal decor, or whatever else tickles your fancy.
We’ve always loved snagging cheap finds for our house at both stores – like the nailhead trimmed ottoman in our bedroom (from T.J. Maxx) and just about every pillow in our den (from Marshalls).

As a rule my husband and I don’t do gifts around the holidays for each other. We just like to spend time together and be thankful for what we do have. Though this year we are taking advantage of holiday sales since we just moved from FL to TX and have a new space that definitely needs some stuff.
Our favorite thing to give this year will be our donations to the toys-for-tots organization. You never know where your gifts end up but its nice to know a child gets to enjoy what everyone else does about the holidays.
