We’ve always loved snagging cheap finds for our house at both stores – like the nailhead trimmed ottoman in our bedroom (from T.J. Maxx) and just about every pillow in our den (from Marshalls).

So I’m excited for a couple things for our animals :) The kitties need a new bed because one of them is too fat (and has been on an escalating diet!) and they both don’t fit in it anymore. The dog also needs a new bed because he apparently wants a bed in every room (I suppose the consequence of not allowing him on the bed/couch!) and right now he sleeps on a folded blanket in the bedroom and would like to upgrade to a bed! We want a molly mutt duvet for him (you should check out their website, it’s pretty cool!).

We just moved into a 2-bedroom apartment from a 1-bedroom, as we are expecting our first baby early in the new year, so the things I’m looking forward to buying “for me” are really to help make this apartment function well as our new home: a hanging fruit basket for the dining nook, picture frames to hold a handful of paintings I did in college, and a small console table as a landing strip by our front door.
I’m most looking forward to giving several homemade sock puppets to my niece and nephews, but as for purchased gifts I’m looking forward to giving some quality shaving equipment (boar’s hair brush, razor stand, quality shaving soap) to my husband, who started using a safety razor this year, instead of the old gillettes.
