Fab Freebie: Office Party

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – scroll down to see who won!***

We’ve got two prizes coming from two office-tastic sources, so your dreams of a new and improved home office might just come true (even if by home office you mean a laptop on your kitchen counter).

Let’s start with Three by Three Seattle who designs and manufactures home, kitchen, and office accessories with an emphasis on both form and function. And that’s exactly what you’ll get if you’re the winner of this bamboo dry erase board called the Channel Panel. Not only does it cleverly disguise its dry erase capabilities with the modern wood finish, but the channel slices hold stainless steel accessories for bonus function. Almost makes you want to be productive, eh?

Office Supplies Three By Th

The next prize also lets you be the most stylish passenger on the productivity train: it’s a $100 gift card to anything from Cute As Pie Office Supplies. They’re a great online source for colorful, cheeky and (yes) cute supplies like file folders, notepads and pencil holders that sure beat whatever you can steal (er, borrow) from your company’s supply closet.

Office Supplies Cute As Pie

Now here’s the official info for this week – but read carefully, because some of the “usual stuff” ain’t so usual anymore.

  • PRIZE: A Large Channel Panel bamboo dry erase board from Three by Three Seattle and a $100 gift card to Cute As Pie Office Supplies
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “OFFICE ME” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … if you could work in any type of office, what would it be? Would you love an open light-filled space where the creativity can fly? Something in the corner with a grand view? Or maybe you’d prefer to work from home or… better yet… the beach!
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, October 6th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The 50 United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday AS AN UPDATE TO THIS POST. That’s right, come right here Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner and a special discount for everyone else. Good luck…

******************************

This giveaway’s random winner is… Megan (who wants an open office with lots of windows). Congrats!

For everyone else, don’t miss out on these great discounts:

  • Take 25% off all orders from Three by Three Seattle with code YOUNGHOUSE through Oct 15th.
  • Take 10% off all orders from Cute As Pie Office Supplies with code YHL through Oct 21st. Plus, all orders over $100 will get free shipping!

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just take them on to reward our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from Three by Three Seattle and Cute As Pie Office Supplies.

I would love to work from home. I did it for a little while, and it was bliss not having to commute. But in my dreamland I’d have enough space in my home for a dedicated office with big windows.

I would love to have an office, period! I work in a newsroom with a bunch of open “pods”. Basically desks pushed together in groups. Some people might think that would be fun, but NOTHING is private. :) And you don’t always want to face all of your coworkers!

I would love a home office and a career change, both of which are in the very near future. I’m pregnant and have only a few weeks to go. My wonderful husband has agreed to let me quit my job and stay home with our soon-to-be newborn son. When I’m up to it (and have time), I’ll be able to work from home doing what I love. It would be awesome to win this week’s prize.

I would like to work in a city like New York or DC in a old building with lots of character and open spaces. A loft maybe or a large studio with big windows. Also the office would be by neat little mom and pop shops that sell great coffee and unique and delicious lunch. Yup everything opposite of what I am doing now. :D

I would love a window, or floor to ceiling windows. And a special place for my knitting. A good part of my day is spent making calls to families who have had a person on hospice – to see how they’re doing after the person died. A window would completely help that task out! and I knit while I listen. hence needing a place to stash it when I’m not on the phone!

My ideal situation would be working from home 3 days per week in our home office (excellent lighting, comfy chair, pleasantly decorated, dog sleeping at my feet) and then commute to an office 2 days per week for face-to-face meetings, collaboration, etc.

As for actual office space, lighter is always better. A window does wonders.

My perfect office definitely has a view – not too picky, just something pretty. Big windows, lots of light, a nice breeze when the weather is right..

My home office would be almost perfect, except that my yard is in a bit of disrepair right now :P Still, it would be great to work from home more often!

I’d LOVE to work in an office with a huge bay window overlooking the beach. Being able to hear the sound of the waves crash would be so calming and provide the exact amount of white noise I need to stay focused. Oh, and I would LOVE to have free reign for decorating! There would be color and lights and everything I needed to spark creativity! Wow… makes my current office (aka giant white OPEN room with about 50 computer desks in rows) seem that much more depressing! What a great giveaway!
