The randomly selected party girl (or guy) this week is… Mackenzie (who said “In 2 weeks I am attending a welcome home party for the return of two very close friends who just got done completing service in The Dominican Republic through The Peace Corp!”). Congrats!
Clara’s turning three in two short weeks, which means our minds are shifting into birthday party mode. And to get the celebration started early, we’re dishing out $500 worth of festive party supplies to one lucky winner. First we have $250 to SmashCake And Co, where you can stock up on everything from pretty paper straws to milk glass cake stands.
Next up is $150 to spend at Lindsay Letters, a shop full of beautifully handwritten prints, canvasses, stamps, and other dreamy goodies. She has a whole section labelled for babies and kids, but don’t let that hold you back from hanging her stuff in an adult space (we think it would look good anywhere).
And finally we’ve got $100 to spent at Dino Cape, where Clara got one of her favorite accessories. We bought her a cape from this Etsy vendor because of her recent fascination with dragons (they’re kinda like dinosaurs, right?) and she’s obsessed with it. A hundred bucks to spend there is enough to score some for your kiddos/nieces/nephews – or a matching pair for you and your spouse’s next Game Of Thrones themed costume party.

i just came back from a weekend in dallas for a family bar mitzvah. the last one in my whole family (until the next generation comes along.) i’ll miss seeing the whole family and having the whole weekend of eating and hanging out but not the time spent going to and from (and in) temple (shhhh don’t tell anyone.)

We kids always seem to not be around during the traditional Mother’s Day and Father’s Day, so we always pick a weekend in between where all of us can go back home and we call it APW – Awesome Parents Weekend! It’s a great time to spend with the fam and show our appreciation to the people whose love gave us life. This year its gonna be the weekend after Memorial Day….can’t wait!

Let’s see, middle had his day in March, then was our Anniversary (9 years), then my day was on the 3rd. Next up is Mother’s Day, then my parent’s anniversary (39 years!). Then the hubs & my mom in July. Nothing more until Piggy’s day in September. But he has informed us we will be renting a bounce house for nana & papa’s front yard, and we will devise some kind of system for him to go from the pool in the back into the bouncer and back again.
