Fab Freebie: Pressed And Ready

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

Since we know you guys love personalized stationery as much as we do (and we always like to support other husband and wife teams), we’re psyched to bring you this week’s giveaway from Wild Ink Press. This duo – plus their 2 year old son/sidekick- churns out beautiful letterpress stationery by hand (and foot). And they print all of their stuff on 100% recycled paper or cotton and reuse everything from scraps to clean-up rags, always keeping their process as eco-friendly as possible. But of course, it’s their stunning designs that are the real stars of their process.

And this week, TWO of you are going to win a custom set of letterpress stationery (up to a $150 value each!). Here are the five designs our winners will have the pleasure of choosing from, either for themselves (or maybe even as a Valentine’s Day gift?). First we have The Signature, which puts your name in a silver metallic script with a custom icon to add some whimsy. And you can pick from green, pink, khaki or gray envelopes to match. Man, I wish my signature came out this fancy looking every time I sign on the dotted line.

WildInk Signature

The Dictionary is a classic design with dark brown or black ink on ivory paper. And speaking of the ivories, the khaki envelope comes lined with vintage sheet music or an actual dictionary page (smoking jacket and pipe not included).

WildInk Dictionary

The Bandana Paisley is kinda dusty old west meets colorful sophistication. Pick from a magenta, turquoise, purple or red paisley to coordinate with a gray, khaki or purple envelope. A far cry from the days of the Pony Express.

WildInk Bandana

The Nautical had us at “ahoy.” It comes on beachy pale blue paper with a ship ghosted in the background and a handsome navy envelope.

WildInk Nautical

The Audrey is a combo of a sophisticated dotted pinstripe and your name printed in a playful circus font. The orange or magenta color options for both the type and envelope finish off the big top design.

WildInk Pinstripe

Have you already picked out the one you love? Well here’s how you can vie for your chance to win (bonus: stay tuned for a discount on Thursday- everyone sort of wins in the end):

  • PRIZE: A 30-piece set of custom letterpress stationery from Wild Ink Press (selected from the five designs shown here).
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “PRESS ME” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …tell us about your writing style. Do you write exclusively in cursive? Do you rock all caps all of the time? Do you dot your I’s with something special? Is your penmanship virtually unreadable? Or do you just avoid hand-writing at all costs?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, February 3rd at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: Two
  • PRIZE SHIPS: You name it. They’ll ship it anywhere!
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winners will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

I love that stationary! I’ve never had something that nice (and it’s likely I’ll never have the money for it) so it would be amazing to win it.

My handwriting is pretty bad. I haven’t used cursive since middle school (when it was required) and my writing is often mistaken for a guy’s. I guess I should have been a doctor instead of an engineer!

PRESS ME…. oh, I heart letterpress stationary! I write in a quick mix of caps and cursive. Though now that I have a 4.5 yr old in the house writing up a storm, I’m incredibly conscious that the letters always “start at the the top, top, top.”

My grandfather started me writing in a daily journal since about 3rd grade, so I’ve gotten A LOT of practice with my writing. :) I print, no cursive for me! Generally, my handwriting tends to stand out and I get a lot of comments about it – my handwriting is definitely something that represents a part of me – neat and orderly! :)

I love writing and receiving handwritten cards! Everytime I head to a store like Marshall’s or TJ Maxx I’m constanty looking for gorgeous, inexpensive new cards. I literally look for excuses to send a card. I just found out tonight that my cousin is pregnant with baby#1 so I’ll be sure to send a card soon!

My writing style changes all the time. I usually print in my dayplanner or in cards because my handwriting can get messy if I’m writing quickly, sometimes to the point that I can’t even read it. lol. I often use all caps, it changes with my mood I suppose.

Press me! My writing style is definitely schizophrenic. I seem to have many different styles even though I never feel like I’m “trying” to have a different one. Worst was when I had to sign for a speeding ticket and the cop said the signature didn’t match to my drivers license. “Um, so does it go to someone else???”, I asked. He was not amused.

I am from Germany where letterpressing is not that known yet, so these envelopes could really make an impact. Also, I am getting married this summer and would love to use the paper for our thank you cards. I have designed the save-the-dates and invites myself but I didn’t dare to incorporate any handwriting as I dropped the kursive style in school when I was told my handwriting would never look good. Now it is at least legible…

Thanks for hosting the giveaway, love your blog.

I have several different handwritings… a print/cursive mix (my s will be either, depending on the letter it follows) that’s pretty vertical when I’m taking notes, making lists, etc. and very italicized and flowy when I’m writing letters… also, a sharp, narrow and vertical handwriting that comes out in certain situations, like when my hands are stiff from just waking up. Also, I have several handwriting “fonts” I use in different art/craft projects (calendars, etc).

Is it odd that I have so many? Meh… I totally love all my handwriting.

I almost fell off my chair when I first saw those gorgeous dictionary-lined envelopes. I am writing all day at work (I have a big callous on my finger from constantly holding a pen) and I am not allowed to use cursive (because I’m writing in patient notes). I think my writing has become progressively messier ever since my early days of high school but people often comment on how neat it is, and today someone even said it looked like it had been typed! I like to use pretty cursive for letters and cards.

In high school, teachers and fellow classmates would always compliment me on my penmanship. As I got older, I’ve even had friends ask me to address their wedding invitations! It’s quite a compliment, but honestly, I think my penmanship has gotten slightly worse over the years, probably due to a chronic pain condition that causes my hands to cramp up and the tendons in my arms to become inflamed. Yeah, that’s probably it. That, or just getting older.
