Fab Freebie: Pressed And Ready

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

Since we know you guys love personalized stationery as much as we do (and we always like to support other husband and wife teams), we’re psyched to bring you this week’s giveaway from Wild Ink Press. This duo – plus their 2 year old son/sidekick- churns out beautiful letterpress stationery by hand (and foot). And they print all of their stuff on 100% recycled paper or cotton and reuse everything from scraps to clean-up rags, always keeping their process as eco-friendly as possible. But of course, it’s their stunning designs that are the real stars of their process.

And this week, TWO of you are going to win a custom set of letterpress stationery (up to a $150 value each!). Here are the five designs our winners will have the pleasure of choosing from, either for themselves (or maybe even as a Valentine’s Day gift?). First we have The Signature, which puts your name in a silver metallic script with a custom icon to add some whimsy. And you can pick from green, pink, khaki or gray envelopes to match. Man, I wish my signature came out this fancy looking every time I sign on the dotted line.

WildInk Signature

The Dictionary is a classic design with dark brown or black ink on ivory paper. And speaking of the ivories, the khaki envelope comes lined with vintage sheet music or an actual dictionary page (smoking jacket and pipe not included).

WildInk Dictionary

The Bandana Paisley is kinda dusty old west meets colorful sophistication. Pick from a magenta, turquoise, purple or red paisley to coordinate with a gray, khaki or purple envelope. A far cry from the days of the Pony Express.

WildInk Bandana

The Nautical had us at “ahoy.” It comes on beachy pale blue paper with a ship ghosted in the background and a handsome navy envelope.

WildInk Nautical

The Audrey is a combo of a sophisticated dotted pinstripe and your name printed in a playful circus font. The orange or magenta color options for both the type and envelope finish off the big top design.

WildInk Pinstripe

Have you already picked out the one you love? Well here’s how you can vie for your chance to win (bonus: stay tuned for a discount on Thursday- everyone sort of wins in the end):

  • PRIZE: A 30-piece set of custom letterpress stationery from Wild Ink Press (selected from the five designs shown here).
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “PRESS ME” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …tell us about your writing style. Do you write exclusively in cursive? Do you rock all caps all of the time? Do you dot your I’s with something special? Is your penmanship virtually unreadable? Or do you just avoid hand-writing at all costs?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, February 3rd at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: Two
  • PRIZE SHIPS: You name it. They’ll ship it anywhere!
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winners will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

I write in a blended style of half cursive and half print. I love to write by hand and have 2 pens types that are my must haves for this fun task. Growing up I would copy other people’s handwriting styles just to see how it felt to write in a new way. I developed my writing style by embracing my natural style and incorporating some elements of a few writing styles that I really liked. I love the stationary and it would be perfect for writing thank you notes for our wedding!

“Press me!” I love, love, LOVE this stationery! I love the nautical sample – it would perfect for writing thank-yous on behalf of my son. As for me, I write only in print; I think I’ve completely forgotten how to write in cursive (except when I am signing my name). If given the choice between writing and using the computer, I pick writing every time.

“PRESS ME”. Before I entered the medical field (I’m a medical social worker) I had legible handwriting, but since I have to do so much writing, it has progressively gotten worse! I do still love to write hand-written cards, and when I do so, I make a special effort to write with my good penmanship! ;)

Oooooh I love these! My favorite is the Signature, with Dictionary an extremely close second!

I have three writing styles. My scribble/scrawl for personal use (primarily list-making and reminder-jotting) is a typical mix of cursive and print – flowy and connected but not formal script writing. When writing something for someone else – say, a phone number or email address – I write in a really deliberate print. And for everything else (journals and letters mostly) I write in cursive. I am in the process of ‘fixing’ my cursive since it went by the wayside for many years, and eventually I plan to make cursive my primary writing style. Because I like to rock it old school like that.

PRESS ME! Well I teach 6th grade reading. I suppose a teacher should try to write grammatically correct–capitalize the first letter, punctuate the end of a sentence, etc. However, I much prefer writing with no caps, and I rarely write in cursive; therefore, my cursive looks like a third grader just learning to write cursive.

“PRESS ME” and… I take a lot of handwritten notes for my job. I can’t say my handwriting has any cool features, but when I’m starting to doze off I quit taking notes lefthanded and switch over to my right. It’s a challenge, and I may not have been able to read all of my notes at first, but I have now managed to master printing and cursive with my right hand!

I usually just print, because I have been told it is a lot nicer than my cursive! I love handwriting and personalizing how I write based on what it’s for…hearts for valentine’s day, little designs for the holidays, etc. I have a notecard and stationery obsession and the signature set made me DROOL! I am getting married in September and these would be perfect for shower Thank You notes!
