I’ve always been a fan of Eames. My parents have a knock-off Eames lounge chair and ottoman that they purchased as a newly married couple in the early 70’s, and I have always adored it. First it proved its usefulness when I would play make believe that I was a pilot on it (don’t know why it inspired that), but as I grew older I began to appreciate the design aesthetic. I would love to have a real one of my own!

Nuts for jens quistgaard-designed peppermills for dansk. I found one at a little antiques store outside of Knoxville, TN, for 14$. It’s gorgeous.

Miller Me! I have always been a huge fan of the Architect Clarence H. Johnston who designed numerous historic Victorian mansions in Minnesota’s capital city of St. Paul. Many were built on the single stretch of 4 miles that is the infamous and beautiful ‘Summit Avenue.’ It makes for some awesome inspiration and even better bike rides!

Being a Wisconsin native, with a dad who went to school for architecture, I don’t have much choice but to like FLW ;) I didn’t know, though, until going to the FLW exhibit at our art museum last year, that I grew up just a couple of blocks from three of his manufactured homes –> even bigger fan!
