One of my favorite artists is visual designer Saul Bass. Renowned for his movie posters and opening title sequences on such amazing films like Hitchcock’s Vertigo, Psycho and North by Northwest. One of my fondest memories, albeit painful, was when i was bitten by a wasp as a child and my clueless and paniced dad sat my in his Eames lounge chair with a box of still frozen oatmeal cookies while he figured out what to do. I’ve never commented on a giveaway before, but I just can’t resist the possibility of owning an Eames chair! Frank Lloyd Wright was the first architect who’s work really spoke to me. It ignighted a fascination for architecture and for the work of many other architects, like Maya Lin and I.M. Pei. This led to a love of all things Eames and more. My husband and I just moved from PA to CA and we took the opportunity to explore the architure of Frank Lloyd Wright on our journey across the country, visiting five of his homes in total. It was an awesome experience. All this is to say… Miller Me! Please. :)

I am not too big on fashion, designers or architecture. I used to live by some FLW houses and I thought they were beautiful but odd. I like classic items, like the wrap dress (Diane von ??) and jeans and a t-shirt as far as fashion goes. For my house – it is stuff that is cheap and easy to clean (single mom of toddlers) – I am sad that I moved 3 hours away from IKEA. That’s about it…
