We just bought our house six months ago, so our to-do list is pretty long! Until we can get the funds to work on major rennovations, we would like to decorate to hold us over. Rugs, pictures, shelves, lamps, accessories, ect.

Our home projects for the rest of the summer/fall/winter are mostly centered around fixing the damage from an EF3 tornado that ripped through Western Massachusetts and hit our house in June. Gotta find the silver lining though – time to update things! :)

I just sat down last night and made a gynormous list of all the things I want to (eventually) accomplish in our house. First on the list is to have every room painted before winter. With one room and two bathrooms (plus a little touch-up action in our family room), I’ll DEFINITELY be able to accomplish that little number before winter!

First up is the long-overdue revamp of my boys’ bedroom. I’ve had the new bedding and dressers (still in the boxes!) for MONTHS. We were busy every weekend in the Spring & Summer w/ baseball, so the project kept getting put off.
Next up is painting the bathroom and hanging the new extra-long shower curtain I made from some Ikea drapes. The shower area also needs the tile re-grouted, which I’m not looking forward to since I know it will take a loooong time.

Fall/Winter project: We are moving to a 3 bedroom house from a one bedroom apartment (in exactly one week!), so our project will be updating the house and slowly buying enough furniture to fill the rooms. Hmmm….$500 from crate and barrel sure would help! ;-)

I have a ton of projects I would like to get finished before the end of the year. There are so many that I will just list the painting projects: painting our shed (which is currently PINK), painting the living room and hall way, painting the kitchen, painting the guest bathroom, painting stripes in our dining room… I also want to paint the top of an old Ikea end table with chalkboard paint to give my friends kids something to do when they come visit.
