I have a few projects to finish up.
1. Finish painting the fences to my herb garden red. I have half of them done.
2. Get these two end tables I bought for $10 bucks a piece done. errrr. should change that to started.
3. Scrub my fireplace and decorate it for fall. I like to decorate for fall around the end of August. I like to just have fall decor up for a month or more before halloween. Then I let things be simple till Thanksgiving and then all the Christmas deocr comes out.=)

We just finished repainting both bathrooms (from an awful peach to SW’s Jogging Path upstairs and from what a family member described as “the color of Aquaman’s pants” to SW’s Dockside Blue downstairs) and my husband and I both ADORE they way they turned out. I need to get some art/accessories to fill the rooms.
Also, we need to replace the light fixture at the top of our stairs, that’s been out since I moved in in Nov. However, it’s 15 feet up and we don’t own a ladder. It’s ugly and we don’t like it, so we’ll probably hire someone to replace it to something more practical (that we can change the bulb w/ a pole).
Finally, the bathroom fan upstairs doesn’t draw enough air for the size of the room. I don’t want our fabulous new paint job ruined so we need to upgrade to a larger CFM model. :)

I am currently rearranging my wall decor. I found a DIY tutorial for Pottery Barns Eagan mirror and I’m currently in the process of purchasing all the materials I’ll need. Oh and I am making a “wall of love”. I put frames up and am filling them with meaningful bits and pieces, pictures, keepsakes, quotes…. I make most of the “art” myself so it may take me a while to finish.

My big project this fall is to take down the old rotting cypress-wood “siding” and 4 windows on the back of my house (which is my bedroom), and put in new windows, more insulation, and vinyl siding. I have all the materials, but I’m waiting on cooler weather. Louisiana heat and humidity is no joke!

I am anxious to finally tackle a re-do of my basement. It’s currently ugly barnside paneling, ugly brown carpeting, and too many resident spiders to count. First task: De-spider. Second task: paint, paint, paint (as in lighten up) Third task: rip up carpet and put down that new plank flooring vinyl flooring. And then the fun stuff: redecorate!
