I just moved into my first apartment and my roommate and I are dying to get some great prints/fun pictures up on the walls in the common area! Plus refurbishing a dresser that we can turn into a bar is a top idea as well =)

We are starting a remodel plan for our kitchen. Tearing out drywall, painting, replacing lighting, putting in tile, new baseboards, etc! Should be fun!

I’ve got some major painting projects on my list. All the trim in our family/dining rooms. I’d love paint the walls too, but those rooms are open to our stairs and basement entryway. It’s a tough two story job so it’ll take some work (and balance) to get it done.

I’m looking forward to making a collage in our den of a map with the routes of our American adventures as a couple along with a favorite photo or two from each trip. Perhaps an excited me with a Bison for Yellowstone, the two of us with El Capitan in Yosemite, my husband enjoying seafood in Boston, watching ghost crabs on St. George Island in Florida, etc. Can’t wait to revisit all of our little explorations. :)

We have to paint the dining room, the bedroom, the sunroom, the kitchen and hallways and renovate the bathrooms! (I’m tired just reading that!) With all the new paint we need brand new accessories… rugs, vases, frames and all the other good stuff!

This fall we plan to turn our 4th bedroom into a playroom and the current playroom (which is really a formal living room) into a nice home office/library. Very excited! We need to get roof heating installed on our very steep-roofed old house soon to prevent ice damming around the gutters. As soon as I get the kiddo weaned in a couple months or so, she’s having a slumber party with Grandma and Grandpa while we paint our bedroom (no small task–it’s a 500 square foot converted attic) and do a little bathroom reno. And when that tax return comes in later in the winter, we’re hoping we can get some of these old drafty windows replaced to keep us warm and more energy-efficient!
