My fall project is to simplify! Go through all of my things- clothes, dishware, etc. and get rid of the things I don’t use. I’m hoping it will make my space feel less cramped and when it’s done I’d like to treat myeslf to something pretty for the living room.

I have so much to do. A year ago my husband (and dog) moved into a “studio” apt area in our church. The church used to be a big wearhouse. The ceilings are huge. Old nasty carpet in areas, concrete floors in others. No pretty paint on walls. It is just uck. I have finally decided to work with what I got and be grateful for a roof over my head. There will be tons going on this fall. Hopefully, floors and walls at the least.

This summer we tackled a bedroom and 1/2 bath in our hasn’t-been-updated-since-1964 home. Our next project {I hope} for the fall is the den/library/office. It has a snazzy fireplace, lovely paneling, and foe-beams we are itching to get our hands on. <3 Crate & Barrel!

Hopefully this Fall we can get some color on the walls, add a few rugs to make the place feel a little more like home, and find some new bookshelves (our first set didn’t survive the move). Then by winter we’ll have the whole cuddle up on the rug with a good book setting all ready!
