My main project is puppy-proofing, I just got my boyfriend an adorable rottweiler/german shepherd mix puppy for his birthday and we are picking him up from the shelter Wednesday. I can’t wait, but it turns out there is a lot to do to get ready for a giant puppy, haha.

I have a TON of projects planned. Today I have 2 contractors coming to talk to me about finishing off our basement. It’s huge, needs plumbing, heat, electrical, I could never do this on my own. I’m also putting together my own photo gallery wall, we’re about to paint our master bath, I just bought new bedding for the bedroom (came yesterday, I haven’t even taken it out of the wrapping yet) and finally we’re doing some things to our currently empty dining room.
That holiday decorating thing sounds great, though I’m having trouble finding little kiddo appropriate ideas that aren’t too… precious? I think it is time to go stalk Sherry’s Pinterest boards again!

Talk to me! We have a baby on the way due in October. We are in bad need of a new dryer. Our dryer is definitely on it’s way out and most times we have to run it twice to get our clothes dry (causing major dampness and strinkage).

I am going to strip the gross wallpaper border off the basement laundry room walls, repaint those walls, and then pull up the HUGELY ugly, stick-on tile that’s on the floor, and then paint the floor a great color. I’m worried about that old icky tile, but the laundry room is so depressing!

Right now we’re working on setting up a nursery for our baby boy due late October. Winter project: the dining room.
