Fab Freebie: The Closers

We gave random.org the assignment again of helping us choose our winner and they chose… Sarah (who could think of 10 little projects that have added up that she could use this for). Congrats Sarah!

Since the early days of YHL, we’ve been buddies with the foursome over at One Project Closer. Ethan, Fred, and their wives Jocie and Kim dish up tutorials, tool reviews and decor posts to help us all get (say it with me) one project closer to our dream house. Recently they’ve launched a series of “Pro-Follows” where the boys tag along with professional contractors to document big projects like building a deck (which we may be referencing soon ourselves). But if that makes you break into a sweat, perhaps their new The Better Half section (where the ladies tackle design and craft projects) is more your speed. Whichever suits you, One Project Closer is helping someone get one hundred dollars closer this week with a $100 prize to the home improvement store of your choice. Now that should suit just about everyone, right?

    GET ME CLOSER

    to getting the stinkin’ chickens off of my kitchen walls! We’ve removed nearly all the wallpaper from this house and painted our walls much more pleasant hues, but the chickens on our wallpaper border (so indicative of Delaware) just keep mocking us.

    GET ME CLOSER! To knocking out a doorway from our garage into our house… I’m not sure if it qualifies for an attached garage if you have to go out and walk in the front door after you park.

    GET ME CLOSER…
    I think the next room I want to tackle is the living room. I *think* I finally have some ideas for it…. or I would like to just go around the house and paint all the trim white to see if it would brighten everything up. And let’s not forget the backyard! LOL. I guess that’s really next because we’re rototilling and putting in grass the DAY after my son’s birthday (not before cuz’ there wouldn’t be enough time and then they kds couldn’t go running outside.)

    Get Me Closer!!

    We actually bought a house today! (ah!) our first house and this $100 would be awesome in helping to redo the outdated kitchen. Our budget is only enough to have to floors redone and walls painted right away, but any extra will be put to brightening up a very dark kitchen!

    get me closer! we’re redoing the bathroom soon, and that extra hundo could be a TP holder, shower curtain, frosting film for the window, and/or about a dozen other things.

    Get me closer… to finishing building a gate for our backyard fence. We have never built anything like a gate before so its a big task and now the weather is getting nice enough to tackle it!

    I’d use the money toward beautifying the outside of the house. My whole neighborhood is gorgeous…and then there is our house :(

    Get me closer.. to finishing the hardwood floors. Just had to rip up the carpet in the dining room because the dog decided to give us a hand and start removing it without asking us first. ;)

    Get me closer to a kickin’ patio! This nice weather has me pining to hang out with my pups in the yard, but all we have now are (*gasp!) camp chairs.

    Get me closer… to finishing my kitchen. I am hoping to paint the cabinets, replace the tile floor, purchase a new fridge, and paint the walls. $100 would definitely help with that!
