We gave random.org the assignment again of helping us choose our winner and they chose… Sarah (who could think of 10 little projects that have added up that she could use this for). Congrats Sarah!

Since the early days of YHL, we’ve been buddies with the foursome over at One Project Closer. Ethan, Fred, and their wives Jocie and Kim dish up tutorials, tool reviews and decor posts to help us all get (say it with me) one project closer to our dream house. Recently they’ve launched a series of “Pro-Follows” where the boys tag along with professional contractors to document big projects like building a deck (which we may be referencing soon ourselves). But if that makes you break into a sweat, perhaps their new The Better Half section (where the ladies tackle design and craft projects) is more your speed. Whichever suits you, One Project Closer is helping someone get one hundred dollars closer this week with a $100 prize to the home improvement store of your choice. Now that should suit just about everyone, right?

    GET ME CLOSER! I am ready to tackle our kitchen! We are planning a total re-do. My husband is determined to build our cabinets from scratch, so it may be a looonnggg (but well worth it) project! :)

    GET ME CLOSER… to finishing the guest room! Right now, if people need a place to stay at our house, they’re sleeping in a paint-less room, on a headboard-less bed, with a painter’s bench loaded with random odds and ends from other house projects stacked up as their only “furniture” :::so embarrassing…:::

    GET ME CLOSER – I am really ready to finish our stair project. We pulled the carpet up and we are refinishing the treads. It is more work than we anticipated because the original construction was so poor. That $100 would really help!

    GET ME CLOSER!! We have a lot of wood decking on our house that needs to be re-stained and some pieces replaced. Now that the weather is getting warmer, we can’t put it off anymore!

    The project list is never ending around here. We just bought a 40 year old house that needs a lot of updates! I think I would take the $100 and work on some outside projects that we could enjoy this summer. Landscaping is a mess and we would love a fire pit too!!!

    GET ME CLOSER! My husband and I are finishing a master bathroom renovation that still needs trim tile, and our next project is a deck for the back yard. We could always use a final payment or a head start on a big shopping list!

    GET ME CLOSER!

    My top priority right now is finishing up our master bathroom — we’re only a countertop and sinks/faucets/mirrors away from being done with the total gut job that has taken us 2 months to put back together — and our new nursery since our 2nd is due in about 5 weeks. We are definitely coming down to the wire on both projects.

    GET ME CLOSER…to replacing our sliding glass door. With only a metal bar to “lock it” we desperately need to change it out!

    Get me closer… to finishing redoing our bedrooms. To our surprise the past owners painted the wall paper, which covered the wood paneling, which covered the thin sheet rock and minimal insulation. No wonder the house is always cold :(

    Get me closer! I’ll soon be moving to a new apartment and it’s unclear what projects I’ll need to do but they’ll definitely be projects.
