We gave random.org the assignment again of helping us choose our winner and they chose… Sarah (who could think of 10 little projects that have added up that she could use this for). Congrats Sarah!

Since the early days of YHL, we’ve been buddies with the foursome over at One Project Closer. Ethan, Fred, and their wives Jocie and Kim dish up tutorials, tool reviews and decor posts to help us all get (say it with me) one project closer to our dream house. Recently they’ve launched a series of “Pro-Follows” where the boys tag along with professional contractors to document big projects like building a deck (which we may be referencing soon ourselves). But if that makes you break into a sweat, perhaps their new The Better Half section (where the ladies tackle design and craft projects) is more your speed. Whichever suits you, One Project Closer is helping someone get one hundred dollars closer this week with a $100 prize to the home improvement store of your choice. Now that should suit just about everyone, right?

    GET ME CLOSER! We live in a rental (hubby is military) so we’re trying to be really frugal about it, but we’re sprucing up our backyard a little at a time. It’s looking mulch, mulch (intentional typo…30 bags of mulch will do that to ya) better, but we still have a few more things to complete and $100 would certainly help get us closer! We’ve planted a raised bed veggie garden and that $100 would get us a drip irrigation system for our little bed so it stays hydrated.

    GET ME CLOSER … to finishing the sun room re-do. Right now it’s a dropping off ground and not a relaxing place to enjoy the mosquito free outdoors. :)

    GET ME CLOSER!!!

    We desperately need to finish our master bathroom – we’ve done the demo but no remodel. We started with 3 bathrooms in our house and are now down to one :( and every weekend we’re at Home Depot I oogle at bathroom tiles and shower fixtures, but instead we buy stuff like insulation and electrical wire :-/ boring!

    GET ME CLOSER to wrapping up my kitchen diy update! We still need to add crown molding to the tops of the cabinets, so they don’t look so contractor grade! Thanks for introducing me to One Project Closer!

    GET ME CLOSER to eliminating the builder flat paint in my house. We had it built a year ago and still haven’t painted a single room. I’m dying to paint the foyer and upstairs hallway. The color is picked and everything!

    GET ME CLOSER! I’d love to finally finish rebuilding the fence that fell down over the winter. I’m not a huge fan of giving my neighbors an unobstructed view of my backyard (I just realized that sounds kind of funny…)

    Get Me Closer! to finishing my kid’s bathroom…or starting the kitchen redo…or replacing all the boob lights in the house…I could go on and on and on! We moved into our home about 1 month after you moved into yours and our list is slowly but surely getting shorter.
