Fab Freebie: The Cutting Edge

*** This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

We’ve got two names to announce as the random winners this week and they are… Eileen Marie (who lives on the edge by teaching on the “mean streets of Chicago”) and Kristin M (who is the mom to a “crazy 2 year old” – which is a life on the edge that we can relate to). Congrats ladies! And for everyone else, Cutting Edge Stencils added a 20% discount code – YHL20 –  that’s good through Sunday. Sweet!

Who wants to jump on the wall stencil bandwagon with us (remember when Sherry spent 14 hours stenciling our office last October? Well how does a $50 nudge sound? Because the folks at Cutting Edge Stencils are gonna give two of you a gift card that’ll cover just about any stencil in their catalog – from florals and geometrics to damasks and graphic shapes. They’ve even got a new collection of stencils created by Design Star winner Kim Myles (we especially love her gingko leaf design on the right). And is the one on the top left giving anyone else Jeff Lewis vibes?

Cutting Edge Stencil Giveaway

  • PRIZE: $50 to Cutting Edge Stencils
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “EDGE ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … how you live life on the edge. I ask this somewhat sarcastically since life on the edge for us usually includes eating a second dessert or negotiating a good yard sale deal. But if you’ve really done (or regularly do) something thrilling or outrageous, we’d love to hear about it.
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, June 6th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: Two
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • DISCOUNT: 20% off with code YHL20 through 6/17
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Cutting Edge Stencils.

    EDGE ME!

I rarely venture out toward the edge, but we are making a cross-country move to our dream state this summer! Pretty daring for my blood! Away from our families & friends to a state where we know TWO people. Would love to spruce up the new digs with an awesome stencil :]

Edge me! I climbed up 200 feet in the air on a sheer cliff face a few times. And I used to play rugby in college. Nothing edgier than having 4 giant women knock you to the ground!

    Edge me!

My husband strongly suggested yesterday that I attend a conference being held 6 hours away from our home by myself since he has to work. We scrambled to find a sitter for our 4, 6, and 8 year old and today I drove all the way by myself with our 7 month old and met up with friends here who are also attending.

My husband and I just bought our house and are in the midst of remodeling the interior. We are having SO much fun and are inspired by your blog every day! The stencil would be so outside my comfort zone and make our space so much more interesting!!

Other than my edgy appearance, I’m not too much of a risk-taker. However, in general, my outlook on life is to have no regrets and to love and forgive even when people don’t deserve it….how’s that for a rebel?? :-)

Edge me! I live life on the edge by putting myself in a uncomfortable position such as singing in front of a room full of people I don’t know. I think it makes me grow as a person when I do things that make me feel uncomfortable. I conquer things I thought I never could do!

Life with 3 young kids feels on the edge some days; we’re looking forward to taking a lot of family hikes this Summer; often in territory where we, as humans, enter the food chain so I suppose that’s about as edgy as it gets for us. ;)

EDGE ME! Part of our family lives in Peru, so we go there pretty often for visits, and generally travel a lot for work. Normal for us, but trips to Vienna and Lima are pretty wild for many of our friends…lucky us, we know!

EDGE ME! Ahh, can’t think of anything too crazy since I’m with my two little ones all the time! I’m not very crazy anyway in terms of skydiving or something! I have had to live on the edge though in regards to talking with people I may not know well because of my new business! This has been hard since I’m more shy!

I decided to just “go for it” in my crafty/scrapbooking office and paint my table/desk a soft purple and the walls a dark grey. I love the contrast and girlieness of it all-and with a 6-year-old little boy, I sometimes need a little bit or girly!
