Fab Freebie: The Cutting Edge

*** This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

We’ve got two names to announce as the random winners this week and they are… Eileen Marie (who lives on the edge by teaching on the “mean streets of Chicago”) and Kristin M (who is the mom to a “crazy 2 year old” – which is a life on the edge that we can relate to). Congrats ladies! And for everyone else, Cutting Edge Stencils added a 20% discount code – YHL20 –  that’s good through Sunday. Sweet!

Who wants to jump on the wall stencil bandwagon with us (remember when Sherry spent 14 hours stenciling our office last October? Well how does a $50 nudge sound? Because the folks at Cutting Edge Stencils are gonna give two of you a gift card that’ll cover just about any stencil in their catalog – from florals and geometrics to damasks and graphic shapes. They’ve even got a new collection of stencils created by Design Star winner Kim Myles (we especially love her gingko leaf design on the right). And is the one on the top left giving anyone else Jeff Lewis vibes?

Cutting Edge Stencil Giveaway

  • PRIZE: $50 to Cutting Edge Stencils
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “EDGE ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … how you live life on the edge. I ask this somewhat sarcastically since life on the edge for us usually includes eating a second dessert or negotiating a good yard sale deal. But if you’ve really done (or regularly do) something thrilling or outrageous, we’d love to hear about it.
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, June 6th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: Two
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • DISCOUNT: 20% off with code YHL20 through 6/17
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Cutting Edge Stencils.

Edge Me! I think I try something out there each year – skydiving, mud runs, whitewater rafting…still no craziness this year yet, but I’m sure I’ll come up with something. :)

    EDGE ME!

As a working mom, I think living on the edge is everyday routine! But otherwise, I think the craziest thing I might have done is visiting the Rainbow bridge, Tokyo, Japan in the dead of winter and with heavy snow showers AND walking end to end on the 798 m bridge. That or perhaps, that one time that I sky dived with hubby.

EDGE ME. I would have to say as a single parent and home owner, living on the edge is trying to take on the DIY projects and repair projects on my own. Just this past weekend the dryer was making LOTS of loud noises. I decided I could take it apart and fix it myself. I was able to determine the broken piece, ordered it on the internet and hopefully when it arrives, it will be fixed. Cross your fingers.

EDGE ME! I live life on the edge by, you know, eating food after the expiration date, staying up late on weeknights, crossing the street outside of the crosswalks… I’m crazy.

I’m not a super risky girl. Probably the most risky thing I’ve done lately is sneak into a college football stadium while on vacation.

We painted the walls in our apartment Silver Sage by Restoration Hardward without testing it! We had never even seen the color in person beforehand! It looks AAAAAAMAZING. Overthinking is not the way to go in design endeavors, or so I’m learning!

EDGE ME! I wouldn’t say that I do dangerous things, but I do exciting things when I can. Recent adventures include kayaking in a Puerto Rican biobay at night, swimming with whale sharks at the GA aquarium, and gutting my master bathroom for a total renovation. Plumbing and electrical takes chutzpah. Chutzpah and ibuprofen.
