Tattoo me! I have three tattoos. On my lower back (but low enough you can’t see it when I wear normal grown-up pants) I have stars I drew myself when I was 18. On my inner ankle of my right leg I have a needle and thread that is the Elevenses logo from my favorite Anthropologie coat but is super chic and classic, too. And on my left forearm I have my long haired chihuahua’s name (Valentine) written in a tasteful script inspired by the “Sucre” tattoo on Homerun Ballerina’s blog.

I always wanted a tattoo of my college in some format, either our emblem/mascot, or just the name/initials somewhere. My school was amazing, my teammates were my family, it is/was the best place on earth! My teammates and I always said that if we won our conference meet, we would get the tattoo together. For years after we still considered getting it, even though we never took 1st as a team. We always chickened out!

Vacuum only, please. I grew up as daughter to a woman who got a tattoo at age 16. She didn’t like how it aged with her, especially after childbirth (it’s on her hip). *I* don’t think it’s unattractive, but I did learn from her sense of having felt she made a mistake.

I have two…one I got on my 18th birthday with my best friend,, chinese character for soul, we got matching ones because we are soul-mates, and yes we are still friends…18 years and counting! The other is the Aries symbol…proud of it. Both can easily be hidden if need be.
