I grew up in SC where (at the time) tattoo parlors were not legal. I sorta wanted one, but not enough to trek to the border. By the time I got out of there I had gotten over that desire. I figure if I was that fickle with just the desire though I wouldn’t have made a candidate for living with a tattoo anyway.

My favorite tatto is the one of my son’s 4 year old hand on the center of my chest (over the heart…insert collective awww here). The artist did an incredibly awesome job with the inside design. It looks very henna-esque but, I assure you, it’s real, permanent ink. Didn’t start to hurt until the end of the second hour, when the endorphins wore off.
