I have 6! But you probably wouldn’t know it if you met me. My favorite is the hope on my belly. (and yes, I’ve had a baby and it looks just fine! Though I couldn’t see it when I was pregnant.) It reminds me to always move forward and not to dwell on the negative there are always better days ahead. Somedays I need it more than others.

As if the tramp stamp I got as a 15 year old virgin who had never been French kissed wasn’t enough, I decided to follow it up with a beauty on my ankle at 17 that matched my high school best friend’s. Hers has since been covered with more interesting ink as I patiently and hopefully await tattoo removal (the sooner the better). I sure would love to fantasize about this painful procedure while vacuuming my abode!

Going to high school in Oklahoma, I thought it was dumb that you could not, by law, get a tattoo outside of a doctor’s office (meaning that the options were pretty much limited to permanent makeup). It just made me want a tattoo. So when I turned 18, my friends and I drove to Arkansas and I got a tattoo.

Tattoo Me! As a teenager I thought about getting a small pineapple tattooed on my hip. It was a reference to a nickname I had at the time. I am SO GLAD I never went through with it. Friends change, nicknames change, even hips change, but tattoos are forever.

Hello–Tattoo me! I considered getting a tattoo of a scallop shell that was the symbol of a 500 mile hike I did. I decided that a framed photograph of the shell on my desk was sufficient enough.

We live on a lake and the sunfish swim right up to me and try to nibble the tattoo constantly…scares me half to death.
