Fab Freebie: The Heat Is On

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – scroll to the bottom to see who won!***

Is it hot in here or is it just these? Har har. But seriously, Air & Water offers a slew of heating, cooling and even humidifying products for your home, and this week one of you is gonna score one of these electric fireplaces on the house:

AirNWater Heaters

Whether you go for the modern and colorful Mini Cube ($100), the large and traditional Lincoln ($300) or something in between, like the Danville or the Compact Electric ($130) you’ll be adding function and ambiance to any less-than-warm space. My mom actually has one like the Compact Electric and it was quite a hit over the Christmas holiday (the one-button remote couldn’t have been easier).

So here’s how to enter:

  • PRIZE: One electric fireplace from Air & Water (choose from the Mini Cube, Lincoln, Danville or Compact Electric).
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “HEAT ME UP!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us how you’re staying warm this winter (new coat? lots of hot chocolate?) or if your area’s weather has even required any stay-warm tactics (we had one of the coldest Decembers on record, but maybe you’ve been enjoying t-shirt weather?)
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, January 5th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The 48 contiguous United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

******************************

Random.org has chosen a winner and it’s… Annette Nelson (who keeps warm by heating up a rice bag she made from Sew Mama Sew). Congrats!

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just take them on to reward our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from Air & Water.

    Heat me UP!!!

I’m all about actually turning our thermostat up this year– I was pregnant last year and preferred to keep it at a cool 64… my husband was non-too-happy considering we live in central PA and he had to wear 3 layers to bed. :o)

    HEAT ME UP!

Once I walk through my apartment door, the work clothes come off and the thermal underwear pajamas come on! I light all our candles & cozy up under my sweatshirt blanket & am in my own little warm heaven.

We need it – Minnesota in January and February is the worst! This year we have TONS of snow and the below freezing temps are definitely here. I busted out my Uggs and down coat in November!

We are trying to stay warm by wearing thick socks and layers. This Missouri weather is crazy. Don’t even need a jacket one day but the next day you might need a coat, gloves and boots! Gotta love it!
    Thank you,

    HEAT ME UP!

I’m staying warm this winter in 2 ways:
    1. By getting a furnace check-up: Perhaps the best $60 I ever spent in my life. With a few minor adjustments, we now have a more efficient furnace and our gas bill actually went down!
    2. By drinking lots of coffee with a splash of Jameson’s and Bailey’s. Just need a smoking jacket and fireplace for the trifecta.

My husband and I keep warm by keeping throws around the house and snuggle into them when it gets chilly. It has been wierd weather here in minneapolis, it warmed up for a few days giving us a little bit of a break, but within a few hours it got down to bone chilling temps again!

We’re in Indiana, and we have been holing up in our den where 5 minutes with a space heater makes everything toasty warm. (We even got a new TV for the den as our big family Christmas gift this year so cocooning in the den is more tolerable on cold evenings.)
