Fab Freebie: The Heat Is On

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – scroll to the bottom to see who won!***

Is it hot in here or is it just these? Har har. But seriously, Air & Water offers a slew of heating, cooling and even humidifying products for your home, and this week one of you is gonna score one of these electric fireplaces on the house:

AirNWater Heaters

Whether you go for the modern and colorful Mini Cube ($100), the large and traditional Lincoln ($300) or something in between, like the Danville or the Compact Electric ($130) you’ll be adding function and ambiance to any less-than-warm space. My mom actually has one like the Compact Electric and it was quite a hit over the Christmas holiday (the one-button remote couldn’t have been easier).

So here’s how to enter:

  • PRIZE: One electric fireplace from Air & Water (choose from the Mini Cube, Lincoln, Danville or Compact Electric).
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “HEAT ME UP!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us how you’re staying warm this winter (new coat? lots of hot chocolate?) or if your area’s weather has even required any stay-warm tactics (we had one of the coldest Decembers on record, but maybe you’ve been enjoying t-shirt weather?)
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, January 5th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The 48 contiguous United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

******************************

Random.org has chosen a winner and it’s… Annette Nelson (who keeps warm by heating up a rice bag she made from Sew Mama Sew). Congrats!

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just take them on to reward our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from Air & Water.

HEAT ME UP! We have been staying warm under cozy blankets but I definately miss the fireplace we had at our last place. This would be a nice replacement.

We live in an old rowhome with no fireplace and a 19 year old furnace. We love blankets and at any time you can find at least 3 on our sofa. I’m also a huge fan of sleeping in sweatshirts!

    Happy New Year!

My new hubby and I are staying warm under a king size quilt that my mom gave us for Christmas. She had it made out of all of my old jr.high, high school & college sports t-shirts that she’d been saving! :)

Considering we just got a crazy high bge bill, we are sealing our windows, putting up a storm door, and turning down the heat to help save money. We will be using more blankets and drinking lots of hot cocoa

    HEAT ME UP!!!

Ask anyone I know and they’ll tell you that I’m always trying to find more ways to stay warm. I live in a house where my husband prefers to keep the temperature much lower than I do, which is great on the pockets ($$$) not good for me. You name it – I’ve tried it. I’ve recently discovered fleece socks (which I highly recommend to anyone who stays cold) and you can always find me walking around the house wrapped in a blanket or two. What a great giveaway! Here’s to staying warm this winter.

    HEAT ME UP!

We just had an addition built, and instead of having our contracter extend the existing ductwork into the new room and risk overloading our OLD OLD furnace, we had a Mitsubishi Mr. Slim ductless mini split AC/Heat system installed. Energy star rated, super quiet, and not bad looking too – it’s working great so far – a great choice for a cold cold winter!

I am a baby with the cold weather, and my husband and I are penny-pinching newlyweds living on a tight budget and in an old (but charming) rental house with poor insulation. The cure has been my heated blanket that is constantly wrapped around us to keep us warm – and lots and lots of layers.

Right now we are in an older apt. with one of those wall heaters.. It works pretty good though. We are probably gonna be moving within the next month though and then we will have central heat and air.. the only downfall is that it’s PROPANE! ughhh.. sooo I’m not gonna be using a whole lot of that, it is very expensive.. so we will be investing in electric heaters lol and this would be perfect!

Beside that, I’m staying warm with big jackets, comfy boots and lots of warm drinks;)
