Fab Freebie: The Heat Is On

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – scroll to the bottom to see who won!***

Is it hot in here or is it just these? Har har. But seriously, Air & Water offers a slew of heating, cooling and even humidifying products for your home, and this week one of you is gonna score one of these electric fireplaces on the house:

AirNWater Heaters

Whether you go for the modern and colorful Mini Cube ($100), the large and traditional Lincoln ($300) or something in between, like the Danville or the Compact Electric ($130) you’ll be adding function and ambiance to any less-than-warm space. My mom actually has one like the Compact Electric and it was quite a hit over the Christmas holiday (the one-button remote couldn’t have been easier).

So here’s how to enter:

  • PRIZE: One electric fireplace from Air & Water (choose from the Mini Cube, Lincoln, Danville or Compact Electric).
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “HEAT ME UP!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us how you’re staying warm this winter (new coat? lots of hot chocolate?) or if your area’s weather has even required any stay-warm tactics (we had one of the coldest Decembers on record, but maybe you’ve been enjoying t-shirt weather?)
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, January 5th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The 48 contiguous United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

******************************

Random.org has chosen a winner and it’s… Annette Nelson (who keeps warm by heating up a rice bag she made from Sew Mama Sew). Congrats!

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just take them on to reward our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from Air & Water.

    Heat me up!

I’m always cold (even in the summer) so wool socks, blankets, heating pads, hot tea, and my husband’s sweaters help keep me warm (and sane) during the cold winter months.

Staying warm with an extra blanket, or kitty on my lap….and a baby bump – my personal, portable heater. Plus, it helped that one day last week was 70 degrees, only to be followed by sleet & snow the next day. :(

HEAT ME UP!!! We stay toasty and warm inside our S.I.P.s house… that’s “structurally insulated panels” to anyone who doesn’t speak ‘construction’. We’re nice and warm in winter and cool in summer(without air conditioning) here in northeast Iowa.

I have two awesome pairs of slippers – one pair is knitted and lined with fuzzy fabric and goes up past my ankles and keeps me so warm (I always have freezing feet) and the other pair slip on and have plastic soles, perfect for taking the dog out in the morning!

We live in AZ so the winters are not too terrible, although Phoenix did have some snowfall this past week, well…flurries that melted before they hit the ground. Anyways, love these and would love to keep my chilly feet a little warmer this January.

HEAT ME UP! During the very long, painful Wisconsin winters, I drink a ton of tea and hot chocolate to keep me warm. (To coordinate with your previous post, I use an orange kettle on the stove. No electric tea kettles or microwaves for me!) It’s even better if you combine the two. Try making hot chocolate and adding a peppermint tea bag for yummy peppermint hot chocolate.

I beg you to HEAT ME UP!”

It will be a God send to get this freeby. I live in an old house in DC and the main floor (where the kitchen is located) is 50 degrees!! And there is more… I recently had a baby and have to go up and down 3 floors for food when my baby is sleeping and sometimes he cries so I have to leave my food and run upstairs again. The good side of this is that I have lost all baby weight but I’m unable to invite people to hang out since it is freezing cold downstairs.

The way that I keep warm is staying in my room all day long :(
