Fab Freebie: The Heat Is On

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – scroll to the bottom to see who won!***

Is it hot in here or is it just these? Har har. But seriously, Air & Water offers a slew of heating, cooling and even humidifying products for your home, and this week one of you is gonna score one of these electric fireplaces on the house:

AirNWater Heaters

Whether you go for the modern and colorful Mini Cube ($100), the large and traditional Lincoln ($300) or something in between, like the Danville or the Compact Electric ($130) you’ll be adding function and ambiance to any less-than-warm space. My mom actually has one like the Compact Electric and it was quite a hit over the Christmas holiday (the one-button remote couldn’t have been easier).

So here’s how to enter:

  • PRIZE: One electric fireplace from Air & Water (choose from the Mini Cube, Lincoln, Danville or Compact Electric).
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “HEAT ME UP!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us how you’re staying warm this winter (new coat? lots of hot chocolate?) or if your area’s weather has even required any stay-warm tactics (we had one of the coldest Decembers on record, but maybe you’ve been enjoying t-shirt weather?)
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, January 5th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The 48 contiguous United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

******************************

Random.org has chosen a winner and it’s… Annette Nelson (who keeps warm by heating up a rice bag she made from Sew Mama Sew). Congrats!

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just take them on to reward our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from Air & Water.

Heat me up! We’re staying warm in Ohio by bundling up and using lots of blankets when we’re lounging on the couch.

We just had a new ductless heating system installed in our house. It’s U-G-L-Y but efficient and we’re doing all we can to make our home as energy smart as possible. =) Also, we got a great heated mattress pad for Christmas that I’m currently loving.

I’ve always dreamed of having a fire place in my bedroom to take the chill off of cold Michigan winter evenings… this would do the trick!

Our house is old – built in 1900 old – so this year we added some weatherstipping and expandable foam in the gaps to keep us warmer and be more energy efficient.

It’s been extremely bitter cold in Michigan lately. We have been using our EdenPure heater to help with our heating needs. It almost cancels out the drafts our house has ;-)

    HEAT ME UP!

My city offers free weatherization assistance to low and moderate income families, so I applied last spring and in August they came out and did an amazing $10,000 worth of work on my little old house for FREE!! Not only does my house actually stay warm now, but my energy bills were cut by about 75%!!!

I stay warm in surprisingly cold TN by heaping tons of blankets on my cold, layering inside, and drinking a lot of tea! We try to keep our thermostat lower and we leave in a rather leaky old house, but we stay warm… and my best weapons against the cold are my two snuggly, warm kitties who cuddle up with me in bed every night.
