Fab Freebie: The Heat Is On

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – scroll to the bottom to see who won!***

Is it hot in here or is it just these? Har har. But seriously, Air & Water offers a slew of heating, cooling and even humidifying products for your home, and this week one of you is gonna score one of these electric fireplaces on the house:

AirNWater Heaters

Whether you go for the modern and colorful Mini Cube ($100), the large and traditional Lincoln ($300) or something in between, like the Danville or the Compact Electric ($130) you’ll be adding function and ambiance to any less-than-warm space. My mom actually has one like the Compact Electric and it was quite a hit over the Christmas holiday (the one-button remote couldn’t have been easier).

So here’s how to enter:

  • PRIZE: One electric fireplace from Air & Water (choose from the Mini Cube, Lincoln, Danville or Compact Electric).
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “HEAT ME UP!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us how you’re staying warm this winter (new coat? lots of hot chocolate?) or if your area’s weather has even required any stay-warm tactics (we had one of the coldest Decembers on record, but maybe you’ve been enjoying t-shirt weather?)
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, January 5th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The 48 contiguous United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

******************************

Random.org has chosen a winner and it’s… Annette Nelson (who keeps warm by heating up a rice bag she made from Sew Mama Sew). Congrats!

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just take them on to reward our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from Air & Water.

    HEAT ME UP!!

I’ve been wearing my Uggs, a fleece jacket, and thermal pjs whenever I’m at home these days. And we haven’t even had a big cold snap yet! I hate using the heat (I’m cheap-o) so I bought my husband Uggs so he’d stop complaining about cold toes when I turn the heat off ;)

While at home on the couch a blanket it required at all times. Even though we have our heat at 70, it definitely does not feel like it. And our bedroom is about 10 degrees colder than the rest of the condo, so we switched out a quilt for a down comforter and a heating blanket combo.

Minnesota winters are always cold but this one has been extra snowy + blustery! I stay warm by warming my car before I drive…then keep the heat up for the duration of my trip, blast some music, and imagine I’m in the Carribean laying on the beach!

Sadly, our fireplace is out of commission right now, so staying warm requires a little space heater and a bunch of yelling at my husband and our cat to “close the door, you’re letting all the heat out!”

HEAT ME UP! I could so use this in my drafty living room. I have a 76 year old house and that living room is like 10 degrees cooler than the rest of the house due to large (beautiful) windows that I don’t want to replace with ugly efficient vinyl ones (and I can’t afford the nice ones). To keep warm, I curl up with a blanket! It works and is cheap! But that fireplace would be wonderful…
