Fab Freebie: The Heat Is On

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – scroll to the bottom to see who won!***

Is it hot in here or is it just these? Har har. But seriously, Air & Water offers a slew of heating, cooling and even humidifying products for your home, and this week one of you is gonna score one of these electric fireplaces on the house:

AirNWater Heaters

Whether you go for the modern and colorful Mini Cube ($100), the large and traditional Lincoln ($300) or something in between, like the Danville or the Compact Electric ($130) you’ll be adding function and ambiance to any less-than-warm space. My mom actually has one like the Compact Electric and it was quite a hit over the Christmas holiday (the one-button remote couldn’t have been easier).

So here’s how to enter:

  • PRIZE: One electric fireplace from Air & Water (choose from the Mini Cube, Lincoln, Danville or Compact Electric).
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “HEAT ME UP!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us how you’re staying warm this winter (new coat? lots of hot chocolate?) or if your area’s weather has even required any stay-warm tactics (we had one of the coldest Decembers on record, but maybe you’ve been enjoying t-shirt weather?)
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, January 5th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The 48 contiguous United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

******************************

Random.org has chosen a winner and it’s… Annette Nelson (who keeps warm by heating up a rice bag she made from Sew Mama Sew). Congrats!

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just take them on to reward our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from Air & Water.

HEAT ME UP! I’m staying warm with some microfleece blankets and my Ugg boots. My husband doesn’t seem to be bothered by the cold weather and is still wearing shorts.

Wake me up! Before you go-go!….wait..Heat me up!

We actually almost never turn the heater on. We live on the bottom floor of a well shaded apartment building, and I guess it has bitchin’ insulation. We actually leave the window open in the bedroom at night and have never turned that heater on in the 9 months we’ve lived there. And we live in Portland, it’s definitely not hot.

HEAT ME UP! Here in Austin, TX, we have barely hit the freezing point, and only a few times. It was 57 degrees out today. However, I am crazy cold-natured (I actually love the TX heat!) and am always freezing. Air conditioning alone causes me to bundle up so even though our temps haven’t been crazy low like many of you, I have still been using my fireplace regularly and drinking lots of homemade hot cocoa! (YUM!) I also take a HOT bath every single night…it is heaven and the perfect way to heat up AND read your favorite book. :)

    HEAT ME UP!

New coat for starters! And something I learned in college and still keep going. Anytime I get too cold, I light some candles a few candles. Keeps a nice toasty glow in the house.

Early Nov was beautiful and warm enough that I was able to keep up daily walks. Late Nov/to mid Dec we’ve been hit with snow, more snow and lots of cold. I’ve upped the blankets I keep in my car from 1 to 3. Just in case!

    Happy Holidays!
