Fab Freebie: The Heat Is On

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – scroll to the bottom to see who won!***

Is it hot in here or is it just these? Har har. But seriously, Air & Water offers a slew of heating, cooling and even humidifying products for your home, and this week one of you is gonna score one of these electric fireplaces on the house:

AirNWater Heaters

Whether you go for the modern and colorful Mini Cube ($100), the large and traditional Lincoln ($300) or something in between, like the Danville or the Compact Electric ($130) you’ll be adding function and ambiance to any less-than-warm space. My mom actually has one like the Compact Electric and it was quite a hit over the Christmas holiday (the one-button remote couldn’t have been easier).

So here’s how to enter:

  • PRIZE: One electric fireplace from Air & Water (choose from the Mini Cube, Lincoln, Danville or Compact Electric).
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “HEAT ME UP!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us how you’re staying warm this winter (new coat? lots of hot chocolate?) or if your area’s weather has even required any stay-warm tactics (we had one of the coldest Decembers on record, but maybe you’ve been enjoying t-shirt weather?)
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, January 5th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The 48 contiguous United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

******************************

Random.org has chosen a winner and it’s… Annette Nelson (who keeps warm by heating up a rice bag she made from Sew Mama Sew). Congrats!

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just take them on to reward our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from Air & Water.

Heat Me Up! It’s been downright freezing here, with temps in the single digits. I keep my hiking boots on, with thick hiking socks inside, and I sport the new ear-covering winter hat my mom gave me for Christmas! Also, lots of scarves. I love ’em. (Okay, I just wear one at a time.)

    HEAT ME UP!

I was literally talking the other day about how awesome it would be to have a “fake” fireplace in our studio. It’s been pretty cold here for the SF Bay Area and I’m big on lots of layers. We don’t turn our wall heater on much (it’s in the kitchen directly underneath a very tall skylight area – not heat smart!). I also stay warm with a lot of hot chocolate and tea.

I am hoping that they give the Nobel Prize to whoever invented Polar Fleece because that’s what’s keeping me warm this winter. I’m wearing polar fleece pajamas and sleeping under 2 polar fleece blankets in addition to my comforter. I also have a polar fleece shawl that I toss over my shoulders while I watch television.

    Heat me up!

This is our first winter in this house, and we were excited to plug in the Christmas lights, whip up some hot chocolate and have our first wood-burning fire. It was awesome – right up until the fire alarms started screeching, sending one of our dogs into panic-ridden flight right through the Christmas tree.

Hi John, Sherry, Clara, & Burger,

My husband, Brian and I would LOVE a chance to win an electric fireplace! We are moving into an old (1929) house with hardwood floors…. so we could use some extra heat! Please HEAT ME UP, friends!

We live in Ohio, and we have had an early (and VERY COLD) winter! To stay warm, I have been using an electric blanket every night and snuggling with our 12-pound rat terrier, Stinky. (He is Burger’s virtual bud.)

    Thanks for the chance!

    – Emily
