Fab Freebie: The Heat Is On

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – scroll to the bottom to see who won!***

Is it hot in here or is it just these? Har har. But seriously, Air & Water offers a slew of heating, cooling and even humidifying products for your home, and this week one of you is gonna score one of these electric fireplaces on the house:

AirNWater Heaters

Whether you go for the modern and colorful Mini Cube ($100), the large and traditional Lincoln ($300) or something in between, like the Danville or the Compact Electric ($130) you’ll be adding function and ambiance to any less-than-warm space. My mom actually has one like the Compact Electric and it was quite a hit over the Christmas holiday (the one-button remote couldn’t have been easier).

So here’s how to enter:

  • PRIZE: One electric fireplace from Air & Water (choose from the Mini Cube, Lincoln, Danville or Compact Electric).
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “HEAT ME UP!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us how you’re staying warm this winter (new coat? lots of hot chocolate?) or if your area’s weather has even required any stay-warm tactics (we had one of the coldest Decembers on record, but maybe you’ve been enjoying t-shirt weather?)
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, January 5th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The 48 contiguous United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

******************************

Random.org has chosen a winner and it’s… Annette Nelson (who keeps warm by heating up a rice bag she made from Sew Mama Sew). Congrats!

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just take them on to reward our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from Air & Water.

HEAT ME UP! My husband and I just moved to a colder and far more wintry location. We are keeping warm by rocking some new LLBean gear. Jackets and boots.
P.S. I just started reading your blog and I love it.

And I am all about the tights, long johns and leggings under my jeans. And wool socks. It is a decidedly unsexy look but at least I am toasty warm!

    HEAT ME UP!

I wish we were staying warm with our gas logs in our fireplace, but the heat seems to go DIRECTLY up the chimney without warming the room at all. It seems like something should’ve been amended with the chimney when the gas logs were installed or something….Does anyone know if there should’ve been an adjustment when the gas logs were installed? Or if there is something we can do now in order to direct the heat into the room?

    Love your blog, thanks!!

I’ve been doing lot of knitting this winter to help keep me warm. A pair of socks and a hat are done (and being put to use), another hat and a sweater are in the works. Thanks for this giveaway. We could use a cool looking space heater in out chilly, north-facing guest room.

We live in Florida, but if you’ve seen it’s been kind of cold. And we just recently moved into a home from 1865, which means it’s colder in the house then outside. All we have to keep warm are throws, PJs and snuggling together on the couch!

This has been one of the wettest and coldest winters in Southern California for me! (I’m sure it’s still nothing compared to other states)…we rely on a little electric heater, lots of warm showers, and an electric mattress pad heater for the bed at night. :)

Here in NW Ga, we are experiencing the coldest winter on record in years. How can I be sure of this? We had a WHITE CHRISTMAS for the first time in 120 years. That’s how I know. We actually had snow/ice a week before Christmas, too.

We just installed fire logs (found at Tuesday Morning for $80) in the main floor of our split foyer house. But after my inlaws were here for Christmas, we discovered that our basement level is a bit too chill for the weak at heart. Us being hearty and cheap, we’ve toughed it out. But our lower level has to be 6 degrees cooler than the upstairs. So when it comes time to hanging in the basement, we don sweatshirts, blankets, and drag the electric blanket down to facilitate. An electric heater with true class would be grand in our oh-so-chill basement right now!

And it might help our guests stay a bit longer to help with laundry and cooking when our first lil booger arrives in a few months!

HEAT ME UP! I don’t know if you have seen the news lately but Syracuse, NY has had the most snow ever recorded already this winter and it’s only January 3rd! We have added a VERY safe heater to our daughter’s room (8 months today!) and we stay as bundled up in flannel pjs and heated blankets, plus LOTS of coffee. Other than that, we trudge on through the crazy Syracuse winter as best we can…lost of hats, gloves, scarves and layers!
