Is it hot in here or is it just these? Har har. But seriously, Air & Water offers a slew of heating, cooling and even humidifying products for your home, and this week one of you is gonna score one of these electric fireplaces on the house:
Whether you go for the modern and colorful Mini Cube ($100), the large and traditional Lincoln ($300) or something in between, like the Danville or the Compact Electric ($130) you’ll be adding function and ambiance to any less-than-warm space. My mom actually has one like the Compact Electric and it was quite a hit over the Christmas holiday (the one-button remote couldn’t have been easier).
So here’s how to enter:
- PRIZE: One electric fireplace from Air & Water (choose from the Mini Cube, Lincoln, Danville or Compact Electric).
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “HEAT ME UP!” and…
- BONUS QUESTION: … tell us how you’re staying warm this winter (new coat? lots of hot chocolate?) or if your area’s weather has even required any stay-warm tactics (we had one of the coldest Decembers on record, but maybe you’ve been enjoying t-shirt weather?)
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, January 5th at 8pm EST
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
- PRIZE SHIPS: The 48 contiguous United States
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Random.org has chosen a winner and it’s… Annette Nelson (who keeps warm by heating up a rice bag she made from Sew Mama Sew). Congrats!
Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just take them on to reward our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from Air & Water.

You don’t have to do much to stay warm in Savannah, GA during the winter, but it was around 30 degrees a little while ago and I had to stop and get a hot chocolate (with handmade marshmallows!) from a tiny local french restaurant. It warmed me up gooood.

I live in a 100+ yr old house in Maine, and the previous owners removed the radiator from the master bedroom, so we adore our cozy down comforter!

this winter… we are unfortunately not very warm :( our current rental has single paned windows (BOOOO) and i’m too frugal to turn the heat on for too long. we stay warm with extra blankets, sweaters, and our dog’s body heat when we snuggle.

I’m pretty much always cold. I can never be too warm. I love to curl into the coziest, warmest nest I can create. However, my boyfriend and I recently moved into a beautiful 1920’s apartment sans air or heat–the only downside to the place.
So, I have been getting creative with my mini ceramic portable heater, taking it with me from room to room and accommodating my movement in the apartment with how far my little ceramic friend can reach (not far). I also have a heating pad that I’ve been very close with lately, either sitting at my feet or resting in my lap. My other tricks to staying as warm as i can in this gorgeous refrigerator I call home are fuzzy socks, lots of baking, and hot tea.
Sigh. I dream of Danville.

we’re spending our first winter in our new home, and, as with any older home in winter, we’re learning a LOT about our home’s strengths and weaknesses! on top of about a ton of caulk and weatherstripping, we just got our december power bill–a scary, scary thing. (true, it was in single digits for a week, but still!). anything could only help, especially a little extra warmth in the form of an electric fireplace!

This is our second winter in our 1892 home in Massachusetts. We are badly in need of insulation in the walls, but in the meantime we’re keeping warm with lots of sweaters handknit by my Mom and by chasing our two little boys around the house. An electric fireplace would be much loved!

we are building a new house but to cut costs and the fact that we live in south carolina we are not putting in a fireplace so i would LOVE to win one of these fabulous fireplaces. currently we are staying warm bundled under fleece tie blankets that i made my whole family as christmas presents. we did go from 30 and snowing the 26th to 65 and raining yesterday!

We keep warm by our fireplace which my husband keeps blazing all the time– but I’d love this as a gift for my brother in law who lives in the top floor of an OLD apartment building downtown. Original glass in the windows is beautiful but incredibly drafty!
Or a gift to my parents who can’t drag the logs in the house any more and we don’t live close enough to do it for them. :(
What a great give away!

In Iowa, we rock back and forth from 4 degrees Fahrenheit to 61 degrees Fahrenheit (in one week!) So we keep the extra blankets, sweaters, afghans, and attitude handy to toss on or off. Our house was built in 1924, so we always seem to have cool spots. I wish we had a built-in fireplace here, but would LOVE an electric fireplace!
