Fab Freebie: The Heat Is On

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – scroll to the bottom to see who won!***

Is it hot in here or is it just these? Har har. But seriously, Air & Water offers a slew of heating, cooling and even humidifying products for your home, and this week one of you is gonna score one of these electric fireplaces on the house:

AirNWater Heaters

Whether you go for the modern and colorful Mini Cube ($100), the large and traditional Lincoln ($300) or something in between, like the Danville or the Compact Electric ($130) you’ll be adding function and ambiance to any less-than-warm space. My mom actually has one like the Compact Electric and it was quite a hit over the Christmas holiday (the one-button remote couldn’t have been easier).

So here’s how to enter:

  • PRIZE: One electric fireplace from Air & Water (choose from the Mini Cube, Lincoln, Danville or Compact Electric).
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “HEAT ME UP!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us how you’re staying warm this winter (new coat? lots of hot chocolate?) or if your area’s weather has even required any stay-warm tactics (we had one of the coldest Decembers on record, but maybe you’ve been enjoying t-shirt weather?)
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, January 5th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The 48 contiguous United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

******************************

Random.org has chosen a winner and it’s… Annette Nelson (who keeps warm by heating up a rice bag she made from Sew Mama Sew). Congrats!

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just take them on to reward our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from Air & Water.

We are staying warm in Dallas, TX by enjoying some nice warm weather! Just 4 days before Christmas it was 85 degrees! Unfortunately, it has gotten colder, but the heater is still OFF!! (I love to save money on electricity and bundle up!)

Heat Me Up!! I live in Central California so it doesn’t get nearly as cold as other parts of the country, but to stay cozy the kids love hot cocoa and I can’t resist an oversized pair of sweats (that doesn’t sound too cute though).

I’m sitting on the sofa in a hoodie (with hood up) covered with and afghan and in front of a space heater. And I live in Arizona – ridiculous! But it’s been freezing here lately (literally! – in the 20s last night). That’s really cold when you’re used to a never ending summer!

HEAT ME UP! To stay warm at night, I sleep with one down blanket under my comforter and one down blanket OVER it, and then at least 1 of my 3 hound dogs, if not 2, adds their furry little body heat to the mix. Otherwise, I add on layer and snuggle under my afghans and throws on the couch to stay warm.

    Heat me up!

We bought our first house, a 90 year old bungalow, last spring. It has twenty (20!) gorgeous windows, all original. This winter we’ve discovered that it is DRAFTY. Temps here in the deep south have bounced way up and down and we’ve only had a few hard freezes so it hasn’t been too bad but lots of blankets, thick socks, and cuddly pets help quite a bit.

    “HEAT ME UP”
In south Louisiana, the cold weather is a welcoming change to 100 degree summers. My husband hasnt allowed me to light the fireplace just yet in our new home….still working on winning this one!! I am currently relying to hot chocolate and Yorkie cuddles to stay warm and create some relaxing nights and memories. This would be a wonderful addition to our outdoor entertaining area (enclosed) to allow us to actually entertain outdoors during this time of the year. As welcoming as the cold is, it is such a foreign feeling in the south that most of us retreat indoors, preventing us from actually enjoying it….and we dont even know what snow really is. (basically, I would never make it in Minnesota!!)

Trying to stay warm in an ANCIENT apartment with a radiator that we have absolutely no control over! Oh well, young and poor is still wonderful! I stay warm by getting under my comforter and doing horizontal “jumping jacks” to create friction and then heat! I’m pretty sure that counts as green!

In rainy Oregon, my fav combination to keep warm is a pair of rain boots, an umbrella and some hot chocolate/tea. But I wouldn’t mind curling up with a magazine next to the mini cube, so cute! So bring on the rain!
