Fab Freebie: The Heat Is On

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – scroll to the bottom to see who won!***

Is it hot in here or is it just these? Har har. But seriously, Air & Water offers a slew of heating, cooling and even humidifying products for your home, and this week one of you is gonna score one of these electric fireplaces on the house:

AirNWater Heaters

Whether you go for the modern and colorful Mini Cube ($100), the large and traditional Lincoln ($300) or something in between, like the Danville or the Compact Electric ($130) you’ll be adding function and ambiance to any less-than-warm space. My mom actually has one like the Compact Electric and it was quite a hit over the Christmas holiday (the one-button remote couldn’t have been easier).

So here’s how to enter:

  • PRIZE: One electric fireplace from Air & Water (choose from the Mini Cube, Lincoln, Danville or Compact Electric).
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “HEAT ME UP!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us how you’re staying warm this winter (new coat? lots of hot chocolate?) or if your area’s weather has even required any stay-warm tactics (we had one of the coldest Decembers on record, but maybe you’ve been enjoying t-shirt weather?)
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, January 5th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The 48 contiguous United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

******************************

Random.org has chosen a winner and it’s… Annette Nelson (who keeps warm by heating up a rice bag she made from Sew Mama Sew). Congrats!

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just take them on to reward our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from Air & Water.

    HEAT ME UP!

Wisconsin has been getting lots of snow and cold temperatures. So, I stay warm in various ways….layers, tea, coffee, hugs and cuddles with kids and hubby, and rarely leaving my house!

Please HEAT ME UP y’all. Even Florida has had some vicious weather this year. One day is in the high 70’s and the next it’s in the 20’s. Lots of hot chocolate and the heater’s running over time.

    Hugs…Tracy :)

We are staying warm by our gas fireplace in our living room. BUT we are finishing our basement in February which is naturally very chilly. Wouldn’t one of these be perfect?

We live in a house built in 1923 that we are renovating that has no insulation in the walls so we use lots of blankets on our beds!!! A electric fireplace would really help warm things up!

I sprung for a space heater to use in our den which is always the coldest room in the house in winter. I wouldn’t be surprised if the walls in our den aren’t insulated. Brrr!

The Compact Electric would be perfect for our guest bedroom. We have a 1920’s Craftsman with original windows, so it’s a little chilly. We love our goose down duvets, but I fear we freeze our poor guests!

Tea, a cuddling cat or dog or two, a Snuggie (YES, I said Snuggie, LOL!), and a space heater. Electric heat? Drafty and inefficient. Retro fitting? Completely intractable. Sigh.

I got a fabulous new herringbone coat from Talbots for Christmas. I opted to be a little bolder in color choice than the normal black or khaki, and went with navy. The navy coat not only keeps me super warm, but looks great against my creamy white (not pale!!) complexion. Oh, and I am very surprised that Talbots is designing clothing that is not-so-granny now.

We live in Texas so while it gets a little below freezing at night in the winter, the day is usually anywhere from 40-70 during the day! But we do have an AMAZING dual-control electric blanket under our comforter that gets turned on shortly before heading to bed so our sheets are nice and toasty!

December was pretty cold in Michigan as well. I’ve been keeping warm with my Snuggie and one of the kitties on my lap. Then we had a couple of 50 degree days and all that nasty snow was melted. Now we’re back below freezing again, so I could use one of these!
