Fab Freebie: The Heat Is On

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – scroll to the bottom to see who won!***

Is it hot in here or is it just these? Har har. But seriously, Air & Water offers a slew of heating, cooling and even humidifying products for your home, and this week one of you is gonna score one of these electric fireplaces on the house:

AirNWater Heaters

Whether you go for the modern and colorful Mini Cube ($100), the large and traditional Lincoln ($300) or something in between, like the Danville or the Compact Electric ($130) you’ll be adding function and ambiance to any less-than-warm space. My mom actually has one like the Compact Electric and it was quite a hit over the Christmas holiday (the one-button remote couldn’t have been easier).

So here’s how to enter:

  • PRIZE: One electric fireplace from Air & Water (choose from the Mini Cube, Lincoln, Danville or Compact Electric).
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “HEAT ME UP!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us how you’re staying warm this winter (new coat? lots of hot chocolate?) or if your area’s weather has even required any stay-warm tactics (we had one of the coldest Decembers on record, but maybe you’ve been enjoying t-shirt weather?)
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, January 5th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The 48 contiguous United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

******************************

Random.org has chosen a winner and it’s… Annette Nelson (who keeps warm by heating up a rice bag she made from Sew Mama Sew). Congrats!

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just take them on to reward our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from Air & Water.

We just finished making our basement into a playroom/family room so we spend a lot of time down there and always start a fire in the fireplace. Also I bought my husband a snuggie for Christmas.

We’ve actually had a mild winter compared to the last several years in Michigan. Some very cold days, but not much snow. We escaped to one of our families for the holidays, who live five hours south, and it was a bit warmer. Otherwise, warm slippers every day!

We’re actually not staying warm this winter. We just moved into an apartment that is OLD and has NO heater! Seriously! We’ve stayed warm by turning on the oven. Yikes!
Needless to say this would be WONDERFUL!

While staying at my parents house this past week I was so cold! I had every quilt my Mother made on the bed and they were so heavy I could hardly roll over. Showering was like taking a polar plunge! To say Mom and Dad could use this would be an understatement!! Slippers, ear muffs, gloves and layers of clothes will be packed for the next trip!

I have wanted one of these for YEARS! We live in Wisconsin, so we have serious winters… and a variety of ways to keep warm! I have a very warm fleece robe that I wear in the house over my clothes, and a pair of fur-lined slippers. I know it sounds bizarre, but I’m not the only person I know who does this!

I am a big throw person. The instant I sit on the couch I reach for it. I also have been having alot more fires in the living room.

In the bedroom, it is alot colder so we pile on the down comforter, the blankets….and the 2 little dogs and 2 big cats all like to lay in there too to keep warm.

Heat me up! We are staying warm with fires in our fire place, however we are considering new options and this might help us make our decision. We jsut had natural gas ran to the house so we may switch to natural gas logs. We just got a new gas range for the natural gas! So that is how we are staying warm in the mountains of NC!
