Is it hot in here or is it just these? Har har. But seriously, Air & Water offers a slew of heating, cooling and even humidifying products for your home, and this week one of you is gonna score one of these electric fireplaces on the house:
Whether you go for the modern and colorful Mini Cube ($100), the large and traditional Lincoln ($300) or something in between, like the Danville or the Compact Electric ($130) you’ll be adding function and ambiance to any less-than-warm space. My mom actually has one like the Compact Electric and it was quite a hit over the Christmas holiday (the one-button remote couldn’t have been easier).
So here’s how to enter:
- PRIZE: One electric fireplace from Air & Water (choose from the Mini Cube, Lincoln, Danville or Compact Electric).
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “HEAT ME UP!” and…
- BONUS QUESTION: … tell us how you’re staying warm this winter (new coat? lots of hot chocolate?) or if your area’s weather has even required any stay-warm tactics (we had one of the coldest Decembers on record, but maybe you’ve been enjoying t-shirt weather?)
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, January 5th at 8pm EST
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
- PRIZE SHIPS: The 48 contiguous United States
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…
******************************
Random.org has chosen a winner and it’s… Annette Nelson (who keeps warm by heating up a rice bag she made from Sew Mama Sew). Congrats!
Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just take them on to reward our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from Air & Water.

Well, even though I’m in Texas I think I’d die w/o my good ‘ole central heating. :)

Keeping warm this winter has been a challenge! I’m now home all the time, but I’m not wanting the gas bill to go up, so I’m keeping the thermostat set pretty low. My keep warm plan involves hot tea, and homemade wool sweaters.

Heat Me Up…
I just have a normal central heating system…trying to keep the bills down.

HEAT ME UP!
After recently moving to a new house with high ceilings and realizing that the heat vents higher up on the wall keep us cold on the downstairs level (and that the built-in fire place doesn’t work), we are keeping warm by: snuggling each other, drinking hot tea, and keeping socks on at all times.

please….HEAT ME UP!
The radiator in our 1930’s home’s basement bedroom is on the fritz, so we keep warm with a down comforter and lots of snuggling!

Even in So Cal, we run the heater, especially in our drafty 50-yr old rental. But, entertaining my 9 month old son, that really keeps me warm.

HEAT ME UP!!!
Love those heaters!=)With all the wind we’ve had this winter we discovered our little house is very drafty. The heater would be awesome esp. with two little ones running around.

I really need the help! I invested in a bio-fuel tabletop “glass fire” from Planika this winter: it was extremely expensive, and while it’s lovely to look at, it turns out it a) stinks of gas when it’s burning and b) doesn’t throw any heat! What a costly mistake. My chilly house needs heat help! :)
In the meantime, I’m trying to stay warm up here in northern new england via lots of hot chocolate, lots of warm throws, and 2 lap cats (I call them my fuzzy hot water bottles).
Heating aside, I want to add my thanks for your incredible blog. I’ve been reading about your adventures and endeavors for more than 2 years now, and you’ve helped enormously with my (pretty feeble) DYI attempts. Next up: painting kitchen cabinets, which I’ve been putting off for over a year. But with your tutorials in hand (or on screen), I’m going to give it a try…
Thanks again–and happy new year to you all!

Staying warm is hard this winter – the baseboard heaters in the house we’re staying in don’t work! My key is these FUZZY knit socks my aunt (owner of the house – obviously she knows) made me before she left for the Philippines!

HEAT ME UP!
Well my wife and I are trying to keep warm (it’s especially important for her since she is 2 months pregnant) by keeping on lots of layers! She usually comes down in the morning wearing a about 3 layers of shirts, a pair of pants, 3 pairs of socks, slippers, a hoodie and a robe! I know it seems a little extreme, but she is quite the FREEZE BABY (year-round)!! lol

It’s been pretty cold here in Wooster, OH so far. My house has radiant heat but I like the look of the radiators in our old 1920’s home. They keep us warm!
At work, I have to use a space heater because they keep our building sooooo cold! Brrrr!

Oooh, heat me up!
My house is FREEZING (luckily we don’t get super cold weather). I’m starting to doubt that I have insulation of any kind. I can see my breath every morning while I make my tea. Sad! I would love a little cozy heat next to my reading/knitting chair!

I love my wool socks and slippers! We are in the process of buying a new house, and one of our great compromises was no fire place! Those look like such cute and cozy options to cozy up and pretend by.

HEAT ME UP! I am located in Lynchburg, VA, 2 hours west of you guys. We have been freezing here as well! I have been keeping warm with electric blankets! I’m too cheap to raise my heat much above 65, so electric blankets are a must!

HEAT ME UP!!
Ok so my winter hasn’t been that bad. Temperatures have been going from 34-75 all winter long. For those cool nights we’re drinking hot chocolate and cuddling in our snuggies (don’t judge :P ). However, we’re planning to move to Minnesota and my dear husband is up there right now with temperatures below freezing (Poor guy loves it.) Me and my kids are natural born Texans and below freezing temperatures sound torturous. Winning this would definitely make a difference in our winter when we move up there in February. Heat me up (and my darling children)! Please!
