Fab Freebie: The Heat Is On

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – scroll to the bottom to see who won!***

Is it hot in here or is it just these? Har har. But seriously, Air & Water offers a slew of heating, cooling and even humidifying products for your home, and this week one of you is gonna score one of these electric fireplaces on the house:

AirNWater Heaters

Whether you go for the modern and colorful Mini Cube ($100), the large and traditional Lincoln ($300) or something in between, like the Danville or the Compact Electric ($130) you’ll be adding function and ambiance to any less-than-warm space. My mom actually has one like the Compact Electric and it was quite a hit over the Christmas holiday (the one-button remote couldn’t have been easier).

So here’s how to enter:

  • PRIZE: One electric fireplace from Air & Water (choose from the Mini Cube, Lincoln, Danville or Compact Electric).
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “HEAT ME UP!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us how you’re staying warm this winter (new coat? lots of hot chocolate?) or if your area’s weather has even required any stay-warm tactics (we had one of the coldest Decembers on record, but maybe you’ve been enjoying t-shirt weather?)
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, January 5th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The 48 contiguous United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

******************************

Random.org has chosen a winner and it’s… Annette Nelson (who keeps warm by heating up a rice bag she made from Sew Mama Sew). Congrats!

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just take them on to reward our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from Air & Water.

I’m in TX so it doesn’t take much – some central heat and a warm blanket will do!

    HEAT ME UP!

We spent a chunk on re-insulating our crawlspace under our master suite. The old stuff was falling out and installed upside down (thus insulating the crawlspace – ugh!). It has made a world of difference and keeps us toasty! I would love the electric fireplace for our to-be-finished basement!

We have a big wood burning fireplace, but are moving soon and won’t have one anymore. I would love to have this heater. It’s no replacement for a real fireplace, but better than nothing.

Just moved from Phoenix to Denver, so this is my first time experiencing winter. Our house here has a gas fireplace that doesn’t work, so this prize would be lovely. Best way I find to stay warm, snuggling with my honey (or dogs if he’s not around)!

Heat me up! Um, it’s basically impossible to stay warm in Minnesota, when it’s -22 with the windchill! I just drink a lot of tea, bundle up and pray spring comes quickly.

    Heat Me Up!!

I have an electic throw that I keep by my side at all timeS! I live in Arkansas and it has been pretty cool for the most part, but those days that are cold are really COLD!! Keeping it in my car and plugging it in under my desk at work . . . really helps. I live with people that are really warm natured and because I am not I seem to be alone in the cold department. Keeping one at home and one in the car works great for me!!

“HEAT ME UP!” I’m out here in Chilly Colorado. I’ve been staying warm with my UF Snuggie and lots of hot cocoa. At night, I love the warmth of the electric blanket. An electic fireplace would be a “PERFECT” addition to my little humbod!

    Heat me Up!!!

We are, well, not staying warm. We have a fireplace to heat the house, but are out of wood and need to call to get more delivered. Our ineffective heaters run on propane, and we are almost out of that too! Someday we will own rather than rent… This giveaway is like a shining light in the midst of all my shivering. It’s a good thing that we have really warm blankets to keep us warm at night! One of these electric heaters would go great in the front room where the heat from the fireplace doesn’t quite reach.

Visit my in-laws in North Dakota, after spending a week up there where people actually say “It’s over 0 and the blizzard isn’t supposed to start for a few hours, now would be a good time to take the baby outside,” being back her in Missiouri seems downright toasty.

PS – We did take her (7 mon) out for some pictures then. And they were right, it was the only time it would have been possible :-)
