Fab Freebie: The Heat Is On

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – scroll to the bottom to see who won!***

Is it hot in here or is it just these? Har har. But seriously, Air & Water offers a slew of heating, cooling and even humidifying products for your home, and this week one of you is gonna score one of these electric fireplaces on the house:

AirNWater Heaters

Whether you go for the modern and colorful Mini Cube ($100), the large and traditional Lincoln ($300) or something in between, like the Danville or the Compact Electric ($130) you’ll be adding function and ambiance to any less-than-warm space. My mom actually has one like the Compact Electric and it was quite a hit over the Christmas holiday (the one-button remote couldn’t have been easier).

So here’s how to enter:

  • PRIZE: One electric fireplace from Air & Water (choose from the Mini Cube, Lincoln, Danville or Compact Electric).
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “HEAT ME UP!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us how you’re staying warm this winter (new coat? lots of hot chocolate?) or if your area’s weather has even required any stay-warm tactics (we had one of the coldest Decembers on record, but maybe you’ve been enjoying t-shirt weather?)
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, January 5th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The 48 contiguous United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

******************************

Random.org has chosen a winner and it’s… Annette Nelson (who keeps warm by heating up a rice bag she made from Sew Mama Sew). Congrats!

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just take them on to reward our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from Air & Water.

It’s so cold here in NM that my washing machine and kitchen sink are frozen. Lots of schools are still closed due to flooding from burst pipes.
I have a nice flannel quilt to snuggle on the couch with.

HEAT ME UP!Oh my dear lord, this would be amazing! I literally have this huge behemoth of an unusable fireplace in my bedroom and this would be such a nice way to fill the space! As for staying warm, I got a new down coat, a space heater, and a boyfriend with a really high metabolism who keep me warm.

I am staying warm with slippers under my desk at work and warm drinks. In Arizona we don’t have much “winter” weather, but this year has been the coldest one in a while. I enjoy wearing a cozy sweater since most of the year is spent in tank tops and flip flops, but it sure is chilly getting out of bed in the morning!

It really hasn’t been that cold here in PA, but I have to say the one thing that has been worth it’s weight in gold is our programmable thermostat. We bought it our first winter in our house, and this is our third, and our bill goes down every year! Set it to be cold at night and while we’re at work, warm before we come home, and it’s the right temperature all the time at our house! We love it!

Our 66 year old home has plaster walls- and I’m not sure they’re insulated! So the moment it got cold I went out and got an electric blanket and flannel sheets. Other than that, lots of blankets and wool socks keep us warm! (Besides snuggling with the dogs!)

Well we are staying warm this year because we got rid of the plastic vertical blinds on our massive window and finally installed a layer of drapes and sheers over the huge L shaped window that our L shaped couch was cozied next too. What HUGE difference that made. But this type of extra heat will come as a blessing for our chicago winters.
