Fab Freebie: The Heat Is On

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – scroll to the bottom to see who won!***

Is it hot in here or is it just these? Har har. But seriously, Air & Water offers a slew of heating, cooling and even humidifying products for your home, and this week one of you is gonna score one of these electric fireplaces on the house:

AirNWater Heaters

Whether you go for the modern and colorful Mini Cube ($100), the large and traditional Lincoln ($300) or something in between, like the Danville or the Compact Electric ($130) you’ll be adding function and ambiance to any less-than-warm space. My mom actually has one like the Compact Electric and it was quite a hit over the Christmas holiday (the one-button remote couldn’t have been easier).

So here’s how to enter:

  • PRIZE: One electric fireplace from Air & Water (choose from the Mini Cube, Lincoln, Danville or Compact Electric).
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “HEAT ME UP!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us how you’re staying warm this winter (new coat? lots of hot chocolate?) or if your area’s weather has even required any stay-warm tactics (we had one of the coldest Decembers on record, but maybe you’ve been enjoying t-shirt weather?)
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, January 5th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The 48 contiguous United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

******************************

Random.org has chosen a winner and it’s… Annette Nelson (who keeps warm by heating up a rice bag she made from Sew Mama Sew). Congrats!

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just take them on to reward our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from Air & Water.

Staying warm by keeping active (snowshoeing is my latest favorite thing!) And then finding a hot tub afterwards. Peppermint cocoa also does the trick :)

We were just talking about getting one of these for our bedroom because it’s at least 10 degrees colder than the rest of the house! I keep warm by bundling up on the couch as close to my husband as possible!

We’ve been keeping warm in our sub zero temperatures by enjoying lots of snuggle time with one another! But, seeing as my 11month old son no longer enjoys my snuggles, a new fireplace would be LOVELY!

Lots of blankets, a down coat and snuggling with my 11 month old daughter. We have a very drafty older home and it’s all I can do to stay warm and make sure my toes don’t fall off.

heat me up! I’ve been running outside all winter so I’m always frozen when I come in. I like to defrost my stomach and thighs in a toasty bath with a glass of wine. The heat from the tub always keeps me warm for hours afterwards!

    HEAT ME UP!

We live in a corner apartment and this is our first winter here. After realizing how much cold air was seeping around the doors, we got one of the As Seen on TV draft blockers. I took the extra styrofoam from that one, glued it together, put it in an old towel that I cut to size and then taped it to the door to create another one. Our laundry room and utility closet also have an outside wall, but they have bifold doors that are slatted–not as easy to weatherproof. I took more old towels, cut them to size and taped them to the inside of the doors so that they block the cold air from getting out. It’s made a huge difference so far! And I also used that plastic shrink-wrap on all of our windows and we got the landlord to caulk the edges of the windows which was never done, leaving gaps for air to get in around all of them. Hopefully it will make a difference!
