How excited are we to be giving away a Model One Radio this week? You probably know that our cheery yellow one is one of our favorite things that we’ve bought for our new kitchen (more on that here). Sure it’s been dubbed “the best sounding table radio ever made” by some (MSNBC in this case), but our love for it stems first and foremost from its looks. It’s one good looking radio. But that’s not to say that we don’t crank up the radio (or an iPod playlist thanks to the auxiliary input in the back) and enjoy a family dance party every now and then…

I listen to the radio (CBC Radio 1 in Toronto, Ontario) in the morning from the moment I wake up til the moment I leave the house to go to work. It gives me all the good stuff – news, interviews, music reviews, events and of course, the weather! Since getting into the radio I’ve even cancelled my cable television! I love that I can picture things from just listening to great audio and voice. This radio would look great in my newly painted kitchen!

I love to listen to NPR while I clean my house. When my kids get home from school, though, we switch to top 20 music, and hang out together. Either way, we always have a radio on most of the time.

I listen to the radio with my tween daughter on the way to school, I’m not allowed to pick the music, not cool enough. But as soon as she’s out the door, I crank it up and listen to everything I want!

i’ve been spending a lot more time than i care to admit listening to country music. i was always kind of against it but all my friends listen to it (while they’re in they’re trucks with pieces of hay sticking out of their mouths and hound-dogs yodelling in the back (only kind of kidding)) and its just so dang catchy!
