How excited are we to be giving away a Model One Radio this week? You probably know that our cheery yellow one is one of our favorite things that we’ve bought for our new kitchen (more on that here). Sure it’s been dubbed “the best sounding table radio ever made” by some (MSNBC in this case), but our love for it stems first and foremost from its looks. It’s one good looking radio. But that’s not to say that we don’t crank up the radio (or an iPod playlist thanks to the auxiliary input in the back) and enjoy a family dance party every now and then…

Radio me! Oh how I would love to win. You see, if I won, I would give it to my wonderful Dad so he could crank up the 50’s be-bop out in his shop. He’s the best and always doing for others with a cheerful heart. His old faithful radio broke after many years. I so remember it cranked up out there when I was little. He sent it to us, hoping we could fix it, but no can do. He needs a new one! :)

I am always in the kitchen cooking. My husband usually has the iPod, and the ancient, unsightly boom box on the the dining area floor is really getting old. It would be lovely to have an adorable, appropriately-sized radio that can sit on my kitchen counter. Singing and dancing as I cook is my jam!

I use the radio when driving—and I’ve done plenty of long car rides this year. Since Aug. I’ve put 10K+ miles on my car. Otherwise, I love a radio in the kitchen; it just makes tasks like cooking dinner and cleaning dishes seem to go faster and be less work-like!
