How excited are we to be giving away a Model One Radio this week? You probably know that our cheery yellow one is one of our favorite things that we’ve bought for our new kitchen (more on that here). Sure it’s been dubbed “the best sounding table radio ever made” by some (MSNBC in this case), but our love for it stems first and foremost from its looks. It’s one good looking radio. But that’s not to say that we don’t crank up the radio (or an iPod playlist thanks to the auxiliary input in the back) and enjoy a family dance party every now and then…

RADIO ME!
I have an internal alarm clock so I typically wake up and see that there’s two minutes until the alarm is going off. But damn it if I’m not taking advantage of those last two minutes! I roll over and then sure enough, two minutes later I hear Catfish and Laurie in the morning! I love me some country music but at that moment, it’s the worst sound in the world! Where’s the SNOOZE?!

RADIO ME. I can’t live without music in my life and I listen in the car, while cooking, when working even, and when I have guests over. Lately, my listening has been for an even sweeter purpose. I have a three week old little boy who is very soothed by ethereal music such as Enya, Pink Floyd, and even nature sounds. This sweet little boy loves music as much as I do.

My favorite family tradition is that whenever we are washing dishes after a big meal family meal, like Thanksgiving, we turn the chore into a family sing song time! We belt out old musical numbers and some old classics to make the time go by faster!
