How excited are we to be giving away a Model One Radio this week? You probably know that our cheery yellow one is one of our favorite things that we’ve bought for our new kitchen (more on that here). Sure it’s been dubbed “the best sounding table radio ever made” by some (MSNBC in this case), but our love for it stems first and foremost from its looks. It’s one good looking radio. But that’s not to say that we don’t crank up the radio (or an iPod playlist thanks to the auxiliary input in the back) and enjoy a family dance party every now and then…

RADIO ME! I love the green radio… These days I mostly use the radio for tuneage while I’m doing dishes, sweeping the floors, etc. – any kind of mundane household chore. Having music to sing along with makes the boring stuff much more enjoyable, and I’m sure it would be even more fun if the tunes were coming out of a sassy little green radio!

It’s definitely pandora for me all day at work. Helps me get through the day! I also jam pretty often to radio on my iPod at home. The other day I had a friend who told me they knocked on my front door for a while and I never answered. They could apparently hear me singing along to the radio. Note to self: don’t wear headphones while at home. Embarrassing!

Ooooh, I’ve been pining for this radio, but didn’t know what it was called! I’d like to listen to radio while starting up dinner in the kitchen, before my sweetie gets home late from work. Right now I tend to turn on the TV just to have some background noise, and I tend to get sucked into ridiculously silly TV shows that I then HAVE to watch for the entire evening!

I’m a culinary student, so I use my kitchen radio (Ipod dock) to listen to Spotify while I’m cooking away. But unfortunately, the heat from the stove is slowly killing my current radio (which I have perched above the stove), so I need a nice new one (that I can find a better home for, away from the heat :))

Ive listened to the same morning show for 10 years, since my senior year in high school. Currently the radio we have in our bathroom doesnt pick up that station.. :( So while Im getting ready for work I cant listen to them until I get in the car so I would DEF use this radio in the bathroom! I am in LOVE with NPR and listen to it pretty much every morning and on the weekends. Living here in DC, I was actually able to tour the DC studio and met some of my favorites (Guy Raz, Steve Inskeep, etc etc). I am pretty positive I embarrassed my boyfriend to the max that day :)
