How excited are we to be giving away a Model One Radio this week? You probably know that our cheery yellow one is one of our favorite things that we’ve bought for our new kitchen (more on that here). Sure it’s been dubbed “the best sounding table radio ever made” by some (MSNBC in this case), but our love for it stems first and foremost from its looks. It’s one good looking radio. But that’s not to say that we don’t crank up the radio (or an iPod playlist thanks to the auxiliary input in the back) and enjoy a family dance party every now and then…

RADIO ME! I’m an itinerant teacher and see a caseload of students all the city. Which means I spend a LOT of time in my car. One day I was tired of commercials and started listening to NPR and now I’m hooked! Would love to listen to it in my kitchen too! :)

The radio is a staple in my world whether I’m in the car, in the shower, in the nursery or in my home office. I work out of my house so it sort of keeps me sane since I only have my puppy dog Lucy to chat with during the day. My 6-week old son is already becoming a music lover because of the radio we keep in his nursery.

We tend to have the radio on most of the day as “background noise” while my baby and I are doing our thing (while daddy’s at work). It’s better than the TV, that’s for sure! I’m partial to NPR and “oldies”, and John Henry will start dancing to anything with a great beat to it. :) We’d love to have a more attractive radio like this one, though! ;)

Although my husband has an iPod, I don’t (I’m not a “music person,” I guess) so I use the radio in my kitchen for some background noise when I’m home alone and cooking. I would love to update it with something as nice as this, though.

Radio Me! I use my radio to hear the weather and local news on the way to work, but if I win this radio it will be a great way to finish off our end stage remodeling to our upstairs.
