How excited are we to be giving away a Model One Radio this week? You probably know that our cheery yellow one is one of our favorite things that we’ve bought for our new kitchen (more on that here). Sure it’s been dubbed “the best sounding table radio ever made” by some (MSNBC in this case), but our love for it stems first and foremost from its looks. It’s one good looking radio. But that’s not to say that we don’t crank up the radio (or an iPod playlist thanks to the auxiliary input in the back) and enjoy a family dance party every now and then…

Radio Me. We just turned our garage into a ping pong room. It’s awfully quiet in there what with the intense competition and the lack of a radio. All the other radios are in kid’s rooms (late night secret listening) or in the kitchen (anything but news.)

RADIO ME: I always have to have music or something playing, but what I’m listening to depends on where I am. I have the radio in my bathroom tuned to the country station. I flip through the stations when I’m in the car and go back and forth between top 40, talk radio, country, and alternative. If I’m doing dishes or cleaning, I listen to NPR. I need to get an actual radio in my kitchen so I don’t have to tote my phone around with me and drain the battery down. Love the fun colors of this radio!

I’m one of those who listens to the radio nearly every moment I’m away from home. From my commute with my car radio blaring classic rock to my office radio playing hits from the ’00s and ’90s, and pandora on my down time, it’s always time for a good lip sync session. Oddly enough I think it helps me concentrate… :/
