I happened to be up (i get up early)and turned on the news while eating my cheerios only to find her walking down the aisle. I must say she looked beautiful and I browsed through the photos afterward on the internet. I spent the Royal Wedding day driving to a Royal Navy base in Cornwall for a volunteer band weekend workshop, and pretty much missed the whole thing. I did decorate a cake with a fruity union jack and ate a buffet lunch at work the day before, and very much enjoyed the extra day off work.

Funny story: I was so not caught up in the wedding hoopla, but my fiance and had pulled the royal wedding website up the night before just to check it out. Well, the following morning, around 3 am, I was pulled out of a deep sleep by the weirdest noise. It took me a good 5 minutes of groggy stumbling around to figure out that we had left the website up, and it had started automatically live streaming the wedding. The sound that woke me was the crowd clapping and cheering as they drove by.
