You better believe it! Since I wasn’t even alive for the last Royal Wedding, I had to make this one and event!!! I took the morning off work! Got up at 3:30 a.m. to put the coffee on. Showered. Dressed. All in time to plop down on the couch at 4:00 a.m. to watch the guests arrive on E! Watched the entire event from start to finish!!! Minus the dreadful lack of any kind of color scheme, I was mesmerized by the entire event! :D

I was excited to get to see the clothes. I did not go out of my way to see the wedding, but I made sure I got to see something. Funny part… I work in a high school and as I was walking up to my classroom I passed a bunch of students carrying on about the wedding. One kid walked by and said “You mean you actually got up to watch those old people get married!” I was crushed… I think they are like 2 or 3 years younger than me… Lol!

I caught clips of the wedding here and there, but I have a friend who woke her daughters up to watch it. She had set up a tea party for them with scones and a lace tablecloth. When her three-year-old daughter caught sight of what her mommy had prepared for her she murmured sleepily, “Thank you, Mommy.” Now doesn’t that just make it seem totally worth the effort? :)

I had to work that day, so i watched what I could from home, then i took the celebration to work with me. We celebrated with the oh so british “royal wedding donuts” from Dunkin Donuts, and were all deemed dutchesses of our hometowns. So fun!
