Fab Freebie: The Royal Treatment

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

According to random.org, the royal treatment is going to Cathleen Pearson (who feels bad for Kate’s balding husband). Congrats!

No, not those royals. The majesty behind this giveaway comes from Royal Design Studio, whose stellar stencils will turn your walls into a stylish statement piece (but not in the way that a certain hat made a statement on a certain princess’ head recently). We’re crazy inspired by all of the stylish patterns and fresh color combos they showcase, and one of you will score $100 towards anything you find on their site. Enough chatter – feast your eyes on these babies (Sherry’s over the moon for the one on the top right) and be sure to head over their website for more eye candy.

I WANT THE ROYAL TREATMENT! … but truthfully, I’d rather watch Colin Firth as king than the real-life royals. I still think back to how witty his Oscar acceptance speech was. And how romantic his scene was in that other movie… “Love Always”? … where he showed up at the restaurant to proposed in fractured Portuguese. … And if you’ve never watched “Valmont,” starring Colin Firth and Annette Benning, you’re really missing out … But, oh, let’s see, you were talking about the wedding! ;)

I just loved that my male coworker kept talking about it. Always from the point of view of, “gosh, would they quit talking about this” but he’d have CNN’s coverage of it up on his screen all day!

I didn’t actually watch the wedding, but my boyfriend went to St. Andrews with William back in the day and one of Chris’ clients brought him two plastic crowns, to tiny British flags, and two tiny bottles of champagne so we could toast his “buddy” (they shared a class and a beer once, that’s about it)!

You bet, up at 3am to drink champagne and watch with my mother. I was hung up on the bouquet. I loved the sentiment behind it, but though it was too small, and therefore lost in the grandeur of, well, everything else.

I must confess, I never went to bed.
While my fiance worked all night, patrolling the streets, responding to calls and keeping our little community safe, I stayed up in sweat pants, with a cup of tea and watched intently at 3am. I even sat up, gabbing on the phone with my mom {my fiance and I just moved to the other side of Canada, see http://everythingelseissecondary.blogspot.com} about the fashion, the dresses and what would happen next.

I didn’t think I was going to care at all about the Royal Wedding…but after hearing it happening while I was getting ready that morning (my husband was watching!), I quickly turned on the coverage when I got to work and watched it in the background all day.
